I think you explain precisely why they did it as they did. It was for that experience, which is how many people do experience it IRL.

Jury Duty, which is free to watch on Amazon Prime, is a low-key treat. It’s mocumentary style examination of a US jury, all fake, except for one unwitting participant.

I had doubts about that format, but it is funny and heart warming, with its earnest and unwitting hero aided by a terrific cast.

Yeah and that’s fair enough, I felt a lack of closure and it just seemed so kind of underplayed for such a big event, but as you say that was probably the intention, and therefore it succeeded perfectly. It was brave to do it that way given it was in theory the biggest event of the whole series.

Someone else highlighted this further up, I really enjoyed it and it reminded me a bit of a real version of the American office, which is a compliment.

Time to remember Parkinson with all those wonderful interviews.

We will all have our favourites.

For me with Sellers stands out but in those days film stars were that,Jimmy Stewart,Lauren Bacall, Shirley McClaine,Miss Piggy!

A proper journalist who let the guest speak.

    RIP Michael.

A couple of very entertaining drama series on the BBC right now.

The Following Events Are Based On A Pack Of Lies
is an enjoyable romp through deception and narcissism, featuring Alistair Petrie’s show-stealing turn as ‘Climate Scientist’ Dr Rob Chance, truly a bounder of the first order.
    IMG_3263.jpeg

The other is The Woman in the Wall an altogether less jolly proposition exploring the historical treatment of Ireland’s teenage mothers by the Church. It’s tremendous TV in parts, powerful, dark and unsettling, even if it doesn’t always convince with its plotting later on.

Not my favourite TV series but it does have it moments. The worst ever player is a Luton Supporter

The good bit is about 4 mins in.

I've been reluctant to start this, perhaps because I don't want it to be rubbish compared to The Boys.

I've just finished Silo which I found very enjoyable. Seems very much like Lost first season.

    I've also recently finished:
    Star Trek Strange New Worlds
    Andor
    Mandelorian S3
    The Bad Batch
    Marvel Secret Invasion

I'm currently working through Parks and Recreation.

    That is all for now!

Wrong thread but I couldn't find a theatre one.

I went to see a matinee of Percy and Frank today.

Very Bennett esque and I enjoyed it, albeit slightly too long.

It did cross my mind that Sir Ian McKellen is turning into Jimmy Jewel!

There was once a WFC supporter on there who got 9 in the cash builder and then got home comfortably, winning a 1/4 share of 46k in the final chase. Another win for the Hornets!

9 in the cash builder is pretty impressive though, I don’t watch it every day but can’t remember ever seeing more than that.

In fact I think the Irish guy who is now a chaser ‘only’ got 9 when he was a contestant IIRC?

I think this was another Luton supporter:

It was all on ITV X after the first episode, very very good indeed. The incompetence of the police is mind blowing.
