Not yet according to Andrew French. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23490301.no-deal-signed-watford-forward-seems-set-brighton/
No problem Rousy. Have a great day. Best wishes. Wait….do you still get upset by people being nice to you?
Andrew French isn’t going to say it’s done until the club do. He’s literally told people all season that’s his communication style.
Uninterested. And the opportunity to smash Sunderland's play off hopes in front of a sold out Stadium of Shyte is surely worth a little bit of schadenfreude.
"The Watford Observer understands that conversations with Brighton about Pedro started after Watford’s potential participation in the Championship play-offs were mathematically ended by defeat at Hull last Saturday. The two clubs managed to continue their discussions under the radar and although it’s understood the player and his representatives have agreed terms, the two clubs are still believed to be negotiating. It’s almost certain the stories that have appeared have emanated from Pedro’s representatives, as both clubs are adamant they have not said a word." Andrew French thinks that there is a high likelihood that the deal will go through, but he points out there was a similar situation with Newcastle and that never happened. I wonder whether some other club might try to hijack the deal.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at by C&P some of the article - as none of that contradicts what I have said about AF. Frankly, who cares. Open secret around the club that the deal is done, dusted, signed, sealed. It matters not a jot to me if anyone believes that or not!
How low have we fallen. No L*t*n 3pm game for BBC3CR to give the prime DAB/Freeview slot, which we would then get, instead it goes to Stevenage. Enough is enough Gino. Oh the humiliation.
Loving that Kaba is captain. We normally see 3 GK’s on the bench when managers are done, making Kaba captain is a proper “screw you” to the fans and club.
I am so “uninterested” that I am taking the time to respond to your very generous guidance on the correct use of language. It is important to take being publicly called out in the correct spirit and I am choosing not to yell “You pedantic git” and instead responding with gratitude for your time in correcting me and pointing out that I am, firstly, not English, and therefore not as sharp with the subtleties of the language and, secondly, I had chosen the term “disinterested” using the original use and meaning of the word, which has since flipped meaning with the term “uninterested” in modern English. For the avoidance of any doubt, the above tripe was not written in anger, but out of a sense of deep and emotional embarrassment at being wrong. And as I am typing our captain has scored, so I am going to start watching the game now until Sunderland score two or more goals.
Oh it just had to be Kabasele that would score. Sunderland fans are well and truly frustrated - lovely stuff. Andrews has been solid.
Yet again we go a goal up, then just sit back. Our decision making and passing in the final third is laughable at best. Sarr needs to come off, literally can’t be bothered to do anything like all season. This is making Choudhury have to go help cover Andrews, which is leaving a gaping whole in the middle of the pitch. Sunderland haven’t exposed it yet, but they will in the 2nd half. Andrews doing well again. Glad Kaba scored just for Uncle Ron Porteous trying to score from 50 yards was proper down the park with your mates moment. Fully expect us to get 1-2 red cards in the 2nd half so as those players want an extra week off.
If results finish currently how they are “We’re top of the league, we’re top of the league, Watford FC we’re top of the, 2nd half of the table, league.”
So we want to win this game ? Who has most chance of upsetting Luton ? Sunderland, Millwall or Blackburn??
Certainly not Sunderland on today's evidence - they were pretty crap, and clearly vulnerable at set-pieces which you'd expect Luton to be good at. Millwall's style would surely counteract them more.
No surprises then. 2-0 up to draw 2-2. Mental midgets as usual. Falling back further and further onto the goal line. Most amazing thing is we actually scored from two set pieces. Miraculous. Only other thing of note. Andrews played well. Couple of interceptions and kept Clarke fairly quiet. His passing needs work but he had a nice effort on goal in the first half. Well done to that lad.
I was just about to say it’s typical of us as the horrible type of club we are to bottle games when we have something to play for, but turn up to ruin someone else’s chances when we don’t… but then we did something even more like us.
I said it on the SB and was correct. Watford Collapse week in week out, same useless players starting every week and we get the same results. Good job we didn't have to hold that lead to get into the top six. One more game and it's all over, then we can hopefully see the back of most of them.
Unlucky Sunderland, should have won that. I expect them to be very much in the promotion mix next season if they dont go up this year. Have built a good young squad by the look of it. Apart from Andrews and Porteous what an absolute bunch of w^nkers. I expect Wilder will play the youth next game seeing as Stoke have nothing to play for either now. Pozzo Out.
He has generally kept improving with each performance, but he also made another pretty basic error today in not pushing up with the rest of the defence after their set-piece, with him therefore playing their player onside for the first goal. Again, hopefully something he learns from.
