We let one in and just collapse which is the worry as started well so you think we’d have some confidence or morale boost .
The only boosting this lot outside of Andrews, Sema (but crikey how limited is he ? you'd be better off with a monopod on crutches), Kone, Asprilla deserve is to be launched into deep space on a one way trajectory. Go join the Opik cloud lads (edit should be ca unts).
You are being way to generous there Lee. We are barely hiting 0.001 per game right now. To even get into single digits, would require at least two of them to give a toss each game.
They by and large are definitely the very definition of a bunch of tossers. I'm sure Louza is feeling his calves after his endless lung busting runs tonight.
Only bright spot tonight was seeing a Sorry Kabba back at Vicarage Road for the first time in many years
Andrews and Asprilla the only ones I believe come out of tonight's debacle with any credit, we were totally in control first 30 minutes, next 10 and they score 3 goals, I have never seen the sum of such highly rated parts add up to such a low total! Maybe they aren't as good as we believed they were!
Wilder just openly calling out the players and the vile culture now - surprised the club account has uploaded it https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1648813140597960704?s=20
I also think that. Wilder may make some valid points but he trains them and prepares them so cannot get a free pass. Maybe he was behind that banner the other week saying it’s the players not the head coach !
This was so interesting and refreshing to hear. Not sure if there was agenda behind the comments on his part (covering his own arse or a pitch to the owners to remain for next season maybe) or just a completely honest assessment of the situation but you could definitely see those comments reflected on the pitch.
Excellent assessment, spot on. No accountability, no respect for any coach's instructions, and no players with the bo11ocks to address the issues when their teammates aren't doing the basics right.
To be honest, he is not very articulate in his complaints. I got that the team does well when they follow his plan but then all go 'individual' but he seemed to degenerate into a parody of a football manager off the Fast Show.
Oh, come on - Coach after coach after coach come and go. Many with good track records. Good (miraculous?) coaching needs to be done, plainly, but the coaches are undermined by the players, and the owner via the managerial set-up. But each coach has how long? 10 or so games? And then they are sent on their way. The philosophy behind coach-employment at this club is found wanting.
The club presumably would much rather see the blame put on the players than on the owner and chairman. That's how this regime works, shifting responsibility off of themselves.
In a season littered with low points, Kones first half performance somehow dragged things to a new level of dross. Kamara, Hoedt, Sarr, Davis all hideous. Pedro shouldn’t be captain. He looks like a lost little boy, and at full time his reaction was to mouth off at some fans and walk straight off.
Someone in the social media team is going to get sacked for tweeting out that Wilder clip tomorrow morning. The only thing that could save them is that he is critical of the players rather than the poisonous ****** who signed them and has created the dreadful culture that is swallowing this club up. Not difficult to see from his comments that he is pretty disgusted with Louza, Pedro, Kamara, Davis and Hoedt in particular.
Hardly an unexpected result. Luckily I can still laugh at the pathetic dross. Does any of those players give a flying about Watford? I won't criticise Andrews because it looks like he wants it. The rest can go f themselves.
First 20 minutes, in control, remaining 70, reverted to type. As others have alluded to the Hoedtt’s (utterly pointless) back header to Bachmann (rooted to his line, what a shock) gave Cardiff the incentive to know they could attack us and we’d bottle it. Cannot think of any player who can come out of that with any credit. Fair play Wilder for calling them all out. Send all the loanees back now, drop the players we know won’t be here next season and begin planning for it now. Complete and utter embarrassment tonight. Only remaining hopes for the season are scum to have their black, grimey hearts broken in the play offs, Arsenal to win the league and Pozzo to jog on. See you in August.
I watched the first quarter of an hour on the red button before going to work. I thought we were playing really well, scored an excellent team goal and made Cardiff look very poor. 20 minutes later, when I got to work, I could not believe my eyes when I checked the score (3-1). I look at how our recent ex managers, Rob Edwards and Roy Hodgson, are doing and I think it is pretty clear that it is not the coach that is the problem at Watford. Before Bilic got the boot, I felt he was extremely frustrated at the lack of progress. I'm also getting the same vibes from Chris Wilder, but it is refreshing that he has the confidence to speak out about how badly we are playing. This club wrecks players and wrecks managers. Pep Guardiola couldn't get this toxic bunch to play well.
Simply trying to protect his own reputation. “Look guys, it’s not my fault”. He has been a terrible appointment as he clearly has even less ability to get the players motivated and organised than his predecessors. He’s not being big and brave, he knows he only has only a few games left so has no fear for losing his job. This is just making sure we don’t damage his CV.
Clearly we scored in that first period and had most of the possession, Cardiff hardly had a sniff of the ball. But the way we were playing had no purpose or threat at all. Same as the second half, we could have played all night and still not scored.
That was just unbelievably bad last night. The players should be ashamed and as professional footballers I'm sure they are, but the question is how can good players sink so low. I don't believe the players want to be so shi*e and I don't for one minute believe that the coaches are responsible. I think there is a terrible rot in the squad and it is caused by the turmoil of the farcical managerial rotation. Responsibility for this situation lies at the top.
So the manager gets a free pass ? It’s absolutely his fault, the players fault, and the owners fault for assembling this ****show. No one is saying this is wholly the managers fault but our recent form is even worse than his predecessors and he is blaming everything/ everyone else. How about taking some responsibility too. He’s the manager !
Of course Wilder is not the main issue here but it’s funny how familiar this rant is to many Boro fans on the internet who are all saying he did the same there. “It’s not me I’m awesome”. They of course got their next appointment right and made him look silly, we won’t have the chance.
It's hard to argue with anything he says, but Wilder at the moment has the easiest job in the world, when everything around him burns, people will rightly point out the players and owners are ****s, it doesn't really matter whether he's doing a good or bad job
Don't see what else he could have done? He's taken on a job where he has no authority over the players, and he's laid bare the reality that this squad clearly can't be arsed. My main criticism is that he's not played enough of the youngsters, but he addressed that last night saying he didn't want to expose them to that *****. It's bad enough poor Andrews has to be part of it. I'm not saying I'd want him long term, but Its quite clear that he's given absolutely everything he could to try and get us back on track.
