Bachmann needs to unglue himself from the goal line and stop flapping at crosses or punching them back to opposition players. He is a solid keeper, especially in the Championship, but if he wants to play for a PL side he needs to cut out these mistakes in his game. All keepers' have howlers now and again, but Bachmann's head is more in the game than Foster's ever was.
Awful goalkeeper. Fundamentally just appalling. The fact he makes the odd good reflex save for the cameras does nothing to make up for his genuinely laughable command of his area, appalling kicking and mostly woeful decision making. No doubt he'll still be first choice next season though, because this club has absolutely no idea when to move a player on and accept they're not good enough. He'll probably continue down the Cleverley/Kabasele etc. etc. route and stink up the place for years to come.
Probably the only person in the world whose result displayed behind the control line on his lateral flow test.
Made one good reaction save at 0-0, but another glaring example of his Achilles heel for their second goal. See 2:57 below. A looping header back across goal, its up in the air for 3 seconds over on his 6 yard line and he stays glued to his line. He should come claim that, or at the very least clear everyone out and punch it clear. He does neither, and 2 seconds later the ball is in our net.
He did. He’s already given an interview saying how much this defeats hurts. It’s just laughable. We all know by Tuesday the Watford admin will be posting photos and video clips of players laughing and joking in training. None of them give a toss about performances and results. They all play individually for themselves.
He’s *****. He was ***** in his first game against Tranmere and he’s been ***** ever since. A few Hollywood saves seem to have blinkered a few but he’s dreadful.
Solid stuff. Red card for Bachmann while Foster concedes a third goal against Halifax. That's our PL lineup right there.
Absolute idiot! Don’t get me wrong, I'm glad he’s suspended. He has to be one of the first names out the door. His goalkeeping today was atrocious as always. I seriously can’t stand him. He is very vocal on the pitch, as heard today, but it’s like the one kid on your team that everyone knows is useless, so no-one listens to him.
I haven’t laughed so hard for a long time around big Dan’s antics at the end. Remonstrating with the bench whether to go up for a corner just before the free kick, he just went for it in the end. Starts shoving players around and mouthing off at the ref for no reason and gets booked, then fancied a game off with quite frankly, an attempted tackle that deserves an award rather than a suspension. Up there with the Britos classic. If this is the sort of comedy entertainment we’ve got coming up next season, sign me up.
Guys an utter, utter tool. I genuinely don’t mean this in a rude way either but he’s gotta be heavy on the spectrum? Major autism vibes.
No one will ever be able to convince me that his meltdown down this afternoon wasn't anything other than objectively hilarious.
I hope they appeal against the two yellows cards and the subsequent one match ban. We need it overturned and a straight red given instead, so it’s at least a 3 match ban.
I liked it when there were still about three or four minutes to play and our goalkeeper (who is chronically afraid of high balls) went into the box whilst by far and away our tallest player (who has also scored from a set piece in his short time here) was the one taking the free kick on the halfway line.
There were several moments today where our players showed just how thick they are but that was undoubtedly the pick of them.
And of course we seemed to spend most of that injury time trying to look for an argument which played straight into Huddersfield's hands.
He is an untalented brainless fool who should never appear in goal for us again. Unfortunately Okoye is a liability. Hamer it is then. Bachmann played a blinder against WBA away but I can only think that was just sheer luck. All I see now is the hands in the air as another goal trickles past him as he searches for someone to blame. Austria worked out that he was a liability some time ago, shame we didn't take note.
Is Angelini at the club still? We have nothing to play for in the last few games, so may as well let him develop
Tbf whilst it was a a daft comment we did get get promoted that season Maybe he meant the team that went up under Keegan I think it was in 2003 ish ?
