I wept inwardly when I saw that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate (who didn’t eat all the pies) Middleton had started an early years development campaign. Hailed as her ‘life’s work’ Kate seeks to promote the sound early years development of the Nation’s nippers. What’s wrong with that, fark me, you lefties are never satisfied I hear you cry. Well, the UK had a brilliant, World leading, early years programme Sure Start. Under New Labour it made a widely acknowledged contribution to the development and mental health of millions of children. Most of us, who raised children between 1998 and 2010, will have experienced some Sure Start initiative, like early years, lunch clubs, playgroups, toy libraries etc. Those initiatives were used to catch those most in need while supporting all. Sadly, only a rump of what it used to be remains. Under the Coalition and then Tory Governments, its funding was savaged, with thousands of centres axed. Now we have reached the point where the UK must rely on the benevolence of Royalty, desperate for good PR, to encourage us to invest in our children. This ******** Country. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...-middleton-early-years-campaign-b2272527.html
If you think it is any better elsewhere then you are a fool . If you voted for Blair , then hey , sure start , look at me . Never mind the dead Iraqi children. You lot are nuts . Trump/Biden ? Which one is closer to a World War ? Yeah but . You say .
"If you think it's better anywhere else then you are a fool." What if you travel, see with your own eyes, speak to people who know and come to the conclusion that it's better elsewhere? Life in your blindfold must be peachy.
So to re cap . Remainers are the affluent mob who are able to travel here there and everywhere whilst lecturing the plebs about global warming and moan about standing in a queue for another 10 minutes. Whilst the plebs are unhappy and voted for change . #Vote Labour for the affluent mob
The politics of envy does exist. I can't have it so you can't either. And nobody who can't have it now but aspires to have it can have it either. We'll just wallow in our misery. **** me, Hooter might be nut case but you are just an absolute waahnker.
It’s a bit odd this. There are plenty of working class people who can’t afford a holiday and plenty who holiday a lot and wouldn’t dream of holidaying anywhere but abroad. And even if they don’t, we can all watch TV and read the stats. Capitalists are in charge everywhere, for sure, but people in many other countries are doing much better than the UK and the trend is getting worse. Yet everytime it’s mentioned, any time anyone demands better, you just bang on about the Wokey Wokes. It feels like one is connected to the other.
Problem is, for you, that your very argument is all selfish and bitter, and never comes across as anything but whinging about how your life is s**t. You epitomise the politics of envy, being powerless to stop the proles from voting for whom ever they wish, and your attempting to belittle any of those despised individuals that dare disagree with you. As always, you are everything you purport to hate, and remain the poster who has expressed the most disgusting and hateful views on this forum. Views that, if anyone else had uttered them, would have had you and others on this forum in outrage. But the world had to settle for me alone complaining about it. How can someone say such a thing about a racial group, and end up getting defended for it? Yet you guys continue to virtue signal and complain of others. The problem for you is that we know what you really are, because despite your expectations for others, you have already described yourself in the most unfortunate of terms. You cannot be taken seriously, except by others afflicted with the same flaws as yourself. Even when you have a good argument to make, you make it clear that it comes from a position of rancour, hatred and vengeance for something, rather than any benevolent thought for anyone else. So very gammon. Go back to Twitter. It will sooth you.
I wasn't talking about myself. I was asking whether someone who knows what they are talking about should express their view or not? "...and moan about standing in a queue for another 10 minutes..." – tell me you don't understand many of the issues without telling me you don't understand many of the issues.
Can’t get housing, queue for healthcare until you die, no more NHS dentistry, living standards falling, energy, water, transport costs soaring, corporate profits huge. But here’s something awfully woke for you to take your mind off it. Let them eat wokes.
I know this might seem petty, but I genuinely find it fascinating. Why do so many brexidiots find it impossible to punctuate correctly? What is it about "space after the comma, no space before the comma" that they don't understand? It's baffling and it's rife.
I'm sure you'll find out next week at the usual time, sponsored by beer. It's probably because you're woke or something, though.
Energy prices spiraling out of control for consumers, but don't worry... the big corporations won't profit off that misery and the free market will fix it. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64544110 Oh, wait...
Yes. It does seem petty. Your inability to understand that dotting an i or crossing a t is wholly irrelevent to the content of a persons character or their overall intelligence. It is no surprise, however, that the counterpoint to your argument is that it is remarkably apparent that people described as grammar nazis are therefore predominantly drawn from erudite but morally bereft remoaners, who tend, in the case of this forum, to make self defeating arguments and spout with authority on subjects it commonly turns out they have not the slightest understanding of. That, and they also keep on saying things that make themselves appear to be far more extreme right, on many subjects (racism, human exploitation, corporate support over democratic expression, contempt for those they consider less well educated) than the right wingers on here. Sorry to mention it again, but crusty old left wing gammons stuck in the bigotry and politics of the 1970s, like you, are what is wrong with the left, and the rest of the world, as a whole.
And I find it irritating that there are so many , too many, middle class Marxists, who deride the working classes because of bad grammar. Vote new Labour. The party of the affluent . Working class oik ? Fugg off you bigot .
Quite so. Great Film. You've reminded me of something a comic said (I think he was American) along the lines of "good comedy isn't about telling jokes - it's about telling the truth." And part of that truth is that those in power want us to be distracted by trivia and arguing amonst ourselves, rather than protesting about the serious issues that the film raises.
Of course you don't have to be . However was the poster pointing his finger at those who are privately educated ? . I think not . Top tip . Always play the working class oik . Those that hate you will reveal themselves.
It's funny how when families have a stable environment ie a home they own to live in, a decent school, transport links and a viable future that all sorts of social ills disappear. Be it crime, violence, child abuse, drug addiction and so on. Billionaires and multimillionaires that get into politics don't do it to better the lives of the masses. Just to order the world even further to their own benefit.
Not sure I get the 'privately educated' bit. And are you saying you are only 'playing' at the persona you put over on here?
https://twitter.com/dinosofos/status/1627220687961161728 Here's Hannah, she's complaining that too many people in this country are "taking from the system" rather than paying in and it's not a society in which she wants to live so is going to raise her kids abroad. One of her preferred locations is Dubai as "you don't pay any tax". Classic.
Christ, what a hateful woman and what a good illustration of how things work. Any problems in her life are not to do with the Tories who are in power, but Labour who are out of power. Despite her never thinking about emigrating when they were in previously. Hatred of migrants provides the distraction she needs. Despite doubtless supporting Brexit, she wants to move to Europe. Or somewhere she doesn’t pay any tax, because there she can avoid the something for nothing culture. Idiotic. The comments give her both barrels.
Fing is @Moose when this brew ha ha kicks off big style between the West/US/NATO and Russia/China and the dinghy regiment are charging Russian/Chinese machine gun nests how many white liberals will be demanding that their Tarquin should be fighting in Eastern Europe as opposed to Mohammed who has recently arrived at Dover . In a dinghy ?.
Because there is no shortage of unskilled labour in the world and given that there is no shortage of cannon fodder worldwide. I sleep at night .
Where is this war going to be fought where British soldiers will be charging machine gun nests? In the incredibly unlikely event that Russia gets through the Polish, Austrian, German and French/EU armies (when it hasn’t yet got through the Ukrainian one), chances are that Tarquin, sitting in a warehouse in Farnborough wearing a Star Trek T-shirt, will have napalmed the Russian machine gun nest by drone before anyone has to charge its smoking ruins. Then it’ll be left to another Tarquin to pick up a BAFTA for his ‘brave’ performance as working class para, stuck behind enemy lines.
