Not seen a thread posted yet, I think a draw will be a very good result. Architecture, they have that bridge thing on the docks. Will be cold if you are going, lovely wind off the North Sea straight into the away end so wrap up warm. If we can keep Juninhio(?) and Ravalenni(?) quiet we should do ok. Edit: I forgot to put a poll on, sorry.
Yeah, you only care enough to reply on a Watford FC forum within 2 minutes of the thread being up. Positive news on the injury front! Araújo is bound to start. I’d potentially drop Gaspar and try him in a 10ish role with Choudhury and Kone cleaning up behind but that may be too aggressive.
Added a poll. This is going to be a very tricky game. Carrick is pretty dislikable but nobody can say he hasn't done a good job so far, dragging Boro' from bottom half to playoffs. Hard to beat and playing well, we will have to be cautious. Lots of positive signs of Davis returning, Louza back in training and a few more signings under the belt, we are starting to get our squad back together. Our overall record at Boro' is pretty good and we tend to draw a lot at the Riverside. With so many teams right behind us waiting to pounce on any more dropped points like last time out, we really need to put a good run of results together now. Unbeaten in three going into this one is a nice start. Hopefully are new guys can kick off with a win and put in a shift. I think this will be a draw again though, it will take more than one game for any new signings to dig in. Boro' 1 Watford 1
Must win game. Boro 2 WFC 0 New Portuguese chap way off the pace and replaced by Bayo after 55 mins. Or he's brilliant but breaks his leg after 55 mins, take your pick.
I’m going for Bayo starts and in the last chance saloon he scores 6 goals in 3 games like Paolo Rossi in 1982 before being banned for 18 months for betting irregularities. Then returns like a pharaoh for our promotion charge in 2024/2025.
Just saw Bilic's press conference. We're slowly eroding what's left of his hairline, he'll be completely bald by May
He is? Maybe I’ve missed something awful he’s done, but I’m struggling to think of a guy who’s played at the absolute top level and been more mild-mannered.
Bachmann Ferreira Sierralta Cathcart Kamara Bacuna Choudhury Kone Sarr Davis Martins Hamer, Gaspar, Morris, Pollock, Asprilla, Adeyemo, Araujo. Boro 2 - 1 Watford 'Orns!
Tbf previews do get done quite well in advance and throughly in some cases ! About the only Championship game on and the EFL highlights on ITV are coming from the Riverside so doubt we will win .
Darren Bond is the official for the game. He’s officiated one of our games this season, the 0-0 with Preston. He's officiated 3 Boro games, they won one and lost two. From Lancashire and loves Sheff Utd. Officiated 5 of their games (more than any other team) and they are undefeated with him (W4, D1). Predicting him to make sure we draw or lose.
I saw Bilic suggest that he could play Davis and Araujo in a pairing at some point. I wonder how we’d accommodate that. You’d think in a 352 or 442, but either one of those means ‘important’ players out of position, or leaving the team looking weak in certain areas. I just don’t see how we play both of them for more than the last 15 mins of a game we’re trailing.
