Think it's about time we moved the thread here? In contention to start tomorrow, which is exciting news!
For his first start he did really well. You can see he's more than competent in the Championship. His partners in defence are horrendous though.
"Longer term knee injury". Looking like another poor signing. Might be a decent Championship player, but its useless when he plays so few games. Still, not like there was anything that could have warned us about his injury record...
You just have to love Pozzos utter disdain for defenders, when he does eventually put his hand in his pocket he just can’t help signing the ones that have less than a 50% chance of actually being available to play for us.
Probably easy to say with hindsight but yes our medical team probably don’t look after players who are injury prone well ..
Billic says he'll be out for a while now. Sounds like Hause has tried to train his way through it but simply can't shake it off. I've a funny feeling we won't see him until after the World Cup now, as presumably the next step is some sort of medical procedure / rehab programme.
Hahahahaha, amazing! I reckon we will have seen a total of a 100 players IN and OUT of the Vicarage Road doors and still Kabasele & Cathcart will be our starting centre backs.
Astonishing knack to sign the lame, sick and all things in between. We don't need a medical team we need Jesus Christ.
Don't think he had any history of injury problems before us, and what started off as an injury supposedly not serious enough to keep him out of the squad for Stoke has now kept him out of the next two games and beyond, I think the problem here is us!
But @nornironhorn has literally just shown you the injury problems he's had before us, and fundamentally, he's 27 and he's played 150 league games in his career; 37 of which were at League One level or below and 7 years ago or more. That has to tell you something, to begin with.
The fact he had a knee injury that meant he missed the entitreity of preseason was also a big red flag...
Probably both right . Already a risk and rather than help him get fully fit we probably made the injury worse !
There was so many HG CB options available, for under £5m, that would have improved the squad. Again we try to penny pinch the defence and pay the price.
I wonder if this issue cropped up in his medical and we went ahead with the deal anyway. I reckon his knee still isn't right from the summer and we've rushed him back. In Gino we trust.
Yep, I missed that post! Tbf I reckon a normal club would have got a few more games out of him, not least because they would have had him with his feet up resting rather than travelling to Stoke when he first got the injury!
Respect to Stevie G. Pretend to be interested in signing Sarr, send us Hause as a sweetener but actually he’s crocked and requires major expensive rehab, ‘pull out’ of signing Sarr, force the club to pay for the expensive rehab. I knew he was ruthless when he threw hands at that DJ for not playing his request but blimey.
A friend of mine had a knee op a couple of years ago. They botched the surgery and she had to have another. Only now is she seeing a good physio ( protege of Peggy P) and she's playing again. Bad surgery and poor rehabilitation are a toxic cocktail, one we appear to triumph at. That and buying numerous poor sods who have lost the ability to move around the planet on their feet.
I'd imagine we'll try and cancel the loan in January if his knee is going to be an ongoing problem. The World Cup break isn't far off so he may well have played his last game for us.
