Oh twenty years or so too late! My dear old Dad ( actually not that old when he died) was an electrical wholesaler. He would most probably had a 9 volt adapter plug on board his Renault Traffic van. So close! Having fought the Nazis at Arnhem, he'd have given Bushell short shrift as well! "I **** ing hate Illinois Nazis!"
Arnhem was tough, he did well to come back. A shame that Market Garden didnt get full backing of Americans as it could have ended the war earlier and saved millions of lives.
I recall him showing me a picture of him and his tank comrades. Five of them I think. Dad said " That's David,he was killed three weeks later,John,a month after that,Steven two days later and Gordon,a week after Steven. All gone apart from me". I often reflect now on how he felt, the guilt of the survivor, the loss of so many young men, teenagers. He was 17 when war was declared. When he became ill, through lung cancer ( he smoked Senior Service until ten years before he died) I think he gave up, almost as if he felt he'd lived longer than he should have. What he would think of Ukraine I shudder to think. What a debt we owe them.
Sorry. Just what I'm hearing. He may or may not have one. It may or not be the reason his deadline day £15m move to Newcastle fell through. Don't shoot the messenger .
Linked midweek by Gazzetta to a summer move to AC Milan… and then today on his Instagram… …he’s in Milan.
I think he would do really well in Milan. Let’s not kid ourselves he won’t be here next year and if they offer the best financial package for him then we won’t stand in his way.
Hope Joao appreciates the French Gothic and late Renaissance facade. Hope it wipes away the terror and horror of having to play with Keinan Davis again.
Good player but if we get an offer of £50m or more I think we should take it Imagine how many wonderkids like Arooge or Martins the Manga and Gino scouting network could buy with that!
No chance Milan would be paying that (or that anyone would for JP for that matter) - Milan's record fee was £38mil for Bonucci, Considering they bought De Ketalaere for £28mil last summer, I'd be surprised if they'd pay more than £30mil for JP if interested.
We refused to budge on our £16m valuation of Kamara Pozzo and Manga are shrewd operators in the market, don't underestimate their prowess
I reckon we can lure moneybags Udinese into a deal for Pedro too. Those mugs keep coming for our players but Gino’s always a couple of steps ahead of them.
Quite probably. He'll kiss his badge after scoring with his arse in a 1-1 draw at Luton. Then dribble past everyone twice for a goal of the season in another game before picking up a mystery knock and missing the last 2 games when we are mathematically not getting in the playoffs.
It wasn't his day but I think it's harsh to claim he wasn't bothered. Was trying to make this happen, he just misplaced a lot.
