Yes I know I seem a bit obsessed about this . Every now and then you realise someone who used to post regularly hasn't been seen for a while. ZZ, Going Down, RookeryDad, Nnnn, PhillipineOrn, etc etc. Behind every login there's a watford fan. I know posters change their logins or lose interest but sometimes as we have seen with ZZ there can be health reasons or worse. Personal data is of course protected but if it was my forum, I'd want to take the opportunity to reach out to a posters login email to check that they are ok and learn, if they would like to say, why they no longer visit/post. All useful customer info, and we are all of course customers helping boost the website footprint. It would be interesting to periodically share information such as posters who posted >100 times in the last 12 months but haven't posted in the last 3 months for example ? Hope GD is ok and just taking a break. Hope ZZ is recovering though I've not had a reply to private messages I sent to whoever it was that posted news before, and I see he's not still visited the forum since Oct 2021. TuT (I will be passing a sealed envelope to Mrs TuT with login details to break the news when I stop breathing. There is nothing left to the forum in my Will so don't get excited....)
That's why he's able to charge to forum the £15k blackmail money annually just to keep his logins on here.
Rookery Dad is still around - he has posted now and then but very rarely. I also hope ZZ is doing well, the Politics Forum really miss him. Not sure about GD - could be on a little break. Moog has so many aliases half of the Who's Online? is probably him.
Yes I exchanged messages with RD. He just lost a bit of interest and had other new things in his life. I see he’s occasionally browsing on here.
krisvad, Ben there's a large number who stopped posting. Multiplicity of reasons. Time and other pursuits often being the case. Or the change in the nature of the forum. Perhaps too much passive aggression or other feelings.
Then there’s us myriad of 'lurkers' who watch the shenanigans going on, sigh and carry on with our sad lives on the side lines …
