I mentioned this over two years ago. He had this issue with Stoke,Kilmarnock and with Austria. As many has said, you can coach techniques, but you can't remove inbuilt fear
And he won various player of the season awards with Kilmarnock so they obviously didn’t catch wind of things.
, No, but l do read player reports. It was always a weakness in his game. Empty grounds highlighted his calls when the ball was inside the 6yd box. Good shot stopper for sure, but that is not enough. Wait until you see Okoye with the ball at his feet. This will provide some heart stopping moments, think Dancing on Ice.
You read reports of Daniel Bachmann, playing for Stoke u23, that specified his positioning on crosses. Was that a lie?
I have never seen any reports about Bachman other than the ones on here. But attending games regularly my personal opinion is that he is more at the Perry Suckling end of the pyramid well below Kevin Miller. It’s just my opinion based on what I recall.
Not possible,. Temporarily perhaps, but long term it will always return. See the Bolton game for those who have a love in Bachmann.
That part is rubbish. There are plenty of people in this world that overcome fears to be very successful
It’s easier to look at the exceptions, for example Jimmy White and Lee Westwood, they have definitely failed to overcome fear/nerves in their career. The list of those who have though is pretty much endless.
Not with Bachmann. I don't agree with you. I think we have had a similar conversation regarding mental health issues, etc in the past, l maybe wrong.
It was an ironic joke, like when a hairdresser asked him to agree that there were two great teams in Liverpool. "Yes, there are," he replied "Liverpool and Liverpool reserves."
Bachmann will not change, it's too late in his career. You know this, many fans have seen it. Nothing against Bachmann, it's just how it is. That's the weakness in his game. Not his mental health, but his decision making. You are right, only Bachmann would know why.
Thank you and congratulations Daniel on behalf of myself and the rest of the noble and industrious people of Hertfordshire!
Kevin Miller was great! I rarely see his name mentioned when people comment on our best goalies but he was outstanding for us.
Noticed Strakosha has moved to Brentford (revenge for Eriksen?), will that open the door slightly for Bachmann to warm the Old Trafford bench?
