Instead of moving him on in the summer I think we extended his contract......And paid him even more. The mind boggles. Hope Kalu gets his warm slippers and supplements before bedtime.
Yes - when they is a bit of pressure and expectation on them. As I say is that nerves/mental issue? Mind you it does sound like we were pretty lucky today tbh. No deflected goals etc.
Great minds!!! Hate how it’s us against EVERY other fan on here, but hopefully they’ll grow a BACKBONE and realise that with enough hope and strength of mind, anything is possible
Scott says the team does not need a psychologist. Because Scott knows best. You know Scott was educated at the Boris Johnson school of leadership.
Indeed! If we just stay POZZOTIVE we will see more wins. No coincidence that our players have done better AWAY than at HOME where all the NEGATIVE NELLIES are stopping us from getting wins!!!!! IF we can get POZZOTIVITY in the fans at home games, I assure you we will see more wins and we are going to stay up!!!!
Annoying that our home displays against Norwich, Brighton and Palace have been so poor and rewarded with no points, not to mention West Ham, Spurs (when we were unlucky) and starting the run Man City and Chelsea, 7 home games in a row no points, whereas we have only lost one out of our last five away! If you can’t win your home games you don’t stay up I’m afraid! But we’ll done WFC today!
Perhaps there is someone with 8 years of study who'd be prepared to come in and work with the squad for FREE to get some experience?
The pattern of play is set, isn't it? We are effective away from home (for a poor team), but the approach we have at home doesn't work. The only way for us to get points at the moment is to play teams who push forward at us, because that is what expected of them. Teams where we think we should be mixing it with them (teams who are themselves pretty poor) find doors opening at the back. Think the Palace match. Having said that, we are anyway not good enough to stay up and have given ourselves too much to do at this point.
Good point. But makes the Palace result even more frustrating to be honest after two decent away results. Unless we can somehow win a game at home we are still screwed. If we’d been playing any of the other top 6 today we would have been put to the sword.
I wasn't expecting that result. Very happy with the performance and result. Our first point at Old Trafford against United since 1985 and 4 points agaisnt them this season which is brilliant for bragging rights over the armchair supporters in the office.
Shame given our situation the result doesn't really feel that great. You do feel like had Hodgson been appointed instead of Ranieri we'd be 5/6 points better off, with far fewer goals conceded. The football is utterly dire though Pedro needs the opportunity to lead the line. Dennis is not up to linking play, and is better suited out wide. King played on the left wing just to win headers is pointless
I would have taken that at 3pm,even allowing for Man U's pathetic underachieving this season. Well done everyone. For anyone waiting,on tenterhooks for Gino's reply to my email....!
This is nice to see, United & Watford players together. https://twitter.com/sportbible/status/1497588562233106432
And then we point out that we are little old Watford and they have drew 0-0 and lost 4-1 to the second worst team in the league. I'm happy to say we are **** and often do which just makes it even better in my opinion.
I was gutted that Maguire didn't play but they clearly watched what Dennis and Sarr did to him. He really shouldn't be playing for Man Utd again. Looked comfortable without him.
Keeps us in the fight, but only just. Enjoyable result but an uncomfortable watch. On another day, we would have been on the end of a hiding. Utd’s finishing was atrocious. Credit is due to Samir, Foster and Sissoko, to a lesser extent Louza and Kamara. Our fans came across very well on the TV coverage. Little chinks of light keep us hoping, but the damage has been done and our focus on getting a tighter defence is crushing our attacking capabilities, which will ultimately mean our relegation.
Could be anything to do with the way that many of our so called supporters continually get on our players backs at The Vic putting more weight on their shoulders, instead of getting right behind them and putting some wind in their sails.
We put in an epic defensive display to get our first point at OT since god knows when? The 1980s? And people whine still.
Spot on HB, but our players really do need to find their scoring boots if we are to win those six very winnable games we still have to play.
We don't know that, maybe if we get behind our team instead of on their backs they might just start playing better at home!!! Does it not strike you as strange that when the team were playing to an empty Vic last season we had a great home record, but now we have our alleged supporters in the stadium we have been **** so far this season. Is that a clue as to why we have not performed very well at home this season, I think it might be that many of our so called supporters get on the players backs rather than trying to give them a lift.
