I’ve had enough of bad management and underperformance.

I’m officially giving up my Watford fan status and, from now on, will be a Man Utd fan.

    … oh wait

I genuinely had more fun watching Watford when we were going to places like Scunthorpe with Matt Whichelow, Michael Bryan and Piero Mingoia.

Leventhal just released his hit piece on Ranieri. Reads exactly the same as the one about the previous coach and the one before that.

More propaganda to deflect blame from the ******* crooks who are actually responsible for this mess.

If you play fantasy football its fun to look through the leagues. Lots of -1's and many -2's.

My kids first really got into Watford at a GT preseason match. They've learned about his legacy and developed a fondness and love for him due to everything they've heard about him. They wanted to come last night, despite the cold temperatures and the late night, because they wanted to remember GT.

Ffs they're 8 and 9 and they get it. Why don't our **** players, owners, coaches, media spinners etc get it?

The girls met Luther before the game and got a pic with the great man. I'm clinging to that vestige of the club I grew up loving, which bears no resemblance to the monstrosity I experienced yesterday.

It doesn't excuse his second yellow or general level of performance, but Dennis' first yellow card was a joke - if anything Lees-Melou should have been sent off for lunging in two-footed.

It is the morning after the night before. I'm still angry, not surprizingly. But our anger is misdirected. There is no point booing poor players because they are poor. There is no point booing poor managers because they are poor (and Ranieri, sadly, is poor. We got the Fulham version, not the Leicester 'flash in the pan' version). The owners buy **** for us, so what do we expect to be served?

The 1881 and others might sing 'You're going down with the Watford' and other such oh so ironic but actually really stupid stuff like last night but when have they voiced their ire against Pozzo & Duxbury? Until they get the full force of that message regularly, nothing will change. That's because the Pozzo model for Watford is like the odious Tim Martin model for Wetherspoons: Serve crap knowing the punters put up with it or misdirect their anger about poor service at the cheaply-hired bar staff rather than the owners, who in the meantime still rake in the cash and tell us how wonderful they are.

Don't boo the team. Let's start having demonstrations like the anti-Petchey one at home v Grimsby back in the 90s in front of the main stand. Let's have some loud 'Pozzo out' chants. Let's direct our anger in the right place for the right reasons for once.

I am in the VRE too. I thought that pre KO and for the start the atmosphere was as good as it could be for a group of fans who've seen zero wins in weeks etc.

Certainly at the back everyone around me was getting involved to start with as there seemed a special reason to push the team on, with the scarf display and the importance of the match, plus the quality of the opposition indicating a real shot at a good win.

However, 10 minutes in and it was clear, we were flat, going through the motions, passing across the back before aimless hoof up top and Norwich were looking far more up for it.

By that point I was too tense and annoyed to chant or sing, as the writing was already on the wall, because our illustrious players had obviously just not bothered to turn up on our biggest night got 2 years, as per.

I like JP, but I'd question calling him a 'gem.'

Nice touch, but little else at this stage and the return in terms of goals and assists so far isn't showing him to be the wunderkind he might have been.

He can play at Prem level possibly, but only just based on what we've seen so far.

Doesn’t even get on at 2-0 down v Norwich .

And isn’t he on a 5 year deal too !

I had to check the SB and the BBC because reaction to it was so muted. Players didn't protest, watford fans didn't react and Norwich fans didn't cheer.

I mean, in the context of the game, it was irrelevant because it was already game over by that point. We had hoisted the white flag and Norwich's tails were up.

Sarr has suddenly improved during his injury absence.

For a long run prior to his knock, he was awful, getting deservedly substituted and contributing absolutely nothing.

It wasn't a common view, but I wasn't as enamoured with Kamara on his debut as most on here. I think many were just delighted we weren't playing Masina or Rose anymore, so were willing to overlook a few initial worrying signs:

The big disappointment for me was rather that Samir made that mistake. The thing is he looked class again and hadn't put a foot wrong in both games, right up until he went down too easily for their goal today. I think Sky cursed him by saying at half-time he was the best player on the pitch. I do actually believe he'll learn from that mistake though, albeit it was a blow it happened in such a key game.

To the no doubt surprise of many, Kayembe was pretty much the only positive from yesterday. As with the Newcastle game he was class on the ball throughout.

He was out of form, but he'd still scored 5 goals in 12 games this season.

A not particularly bothered Sarr is still often capable of at least one moment of magic per game which can lead to a goal, and that has been dearly missed when all the rest of our forwards look out of sorts and are struggling to score. A half-ar5ed Sarr would still be better than whatever King is right now for instance.

He's looked alright when called upon though - every bit as decent as Cucho at least when played at the same time.

Also, you're assuming that King would be sold if we got relegated, but on current form and given his age I really don't think there will be many takers for him. He looks exhausted and hasn't seemed like scoring in ages.

I think it’s pretty clear. Everyone involved in the club now couldn’t care less about the club and it’s legacy. Sure we can rename a stand, paint a subway or put a picture on the big screen hit after Deeney left, no one with any care in the world was left.

And can we really expect the likes of Femenia, Sissoko or Duxbury to care? It’s a job to them.

Pretty damning from an ardent defender of the hierarchy in the past (if honest).

A David Davis moment, if you will.

Do you remember when a mercenary traitor of a player was an anomaly? Williamson etc. For years we baited Connolly and Hessenthaeler because despite loyal service, they'd made career decisions to look after themselves.

Now it's just expected. Even when they're here, playing for us, we don't expect more than just doing their job. Turn up, kick a ball, make a few runs and we will accept that within 5 months you'll angle for a move and never even remember that you played for Watford.

The likes of Mooney, Payne, Johnson etc. still having ties to the club despite careers elsewhere is a thing of the past. Do we think Iriney will be back for an interview on the centre circle in 10 years time, or that Pereyra will be in the Horizons, glad handing with the budget corporates? Will Doucoure come and hand out awards at a local event? Will Josh King be riding a unicycle at a community event?

These people are nothing to me, just as me and the 20k other Watford fans are nothing to them.

Which is why I think it’s been premature all along to say ‘Dennis will go for big money, X, Y, Z…’ - he is FAR too temperamental. Yes he has an edge to his game - but he’s far too careless and let’s it spill over. Booked far too often and already on his 2nd suspension this season. I doubt too many big club managers are looking at him with adoring eyes in reality for that reason alone. A loose cannon who is only-too-capable of drifting into the mindset of playing for himself and not for the team a lot of the time.

The course he’s on, I think he’s more likely to be a player who shines bright but quick for the most part - and is confusing maverick the rest of the time.

Undoubtedly a talent - but he needs to grow up.

It's funny to see the more or less unanimous consensus now, from people who've spent 3 years calling us the most hideous of names, for supporting our club, but remaining critical of our owners.

I've had dogs abuse on here from people I never even knew existed, and now I've seen some of those same people pop up and decry the Pozzos using the self same points they abused me for.

Of course there are a few who are scapegoating Ranieri. Sure he hasn't done the best, but replacing him solves nothing. How often do we replace the same extraneous spare part on the car and ignore the fact that the Engine itself is conked out?

    Good points made .

Players only here as we are a Premier league club near London .

There is no connection to the club itself from most and they will quickly forget about us after moving on.

To coin a phrase, if he wasn't mental, inconsistent, dangerous and self destructive, he'd be playing for someone else, not us.

Also, if we hadn't ****ed him up by refusing to let him play for his country, who knows if he might have been different.

Like the overriding majority of our signings we’ve ended up getting exactly what we paid for with Dennis.

Yes he’s talented but he has a terrible attitude and over inflated ego. Like I said on the shoutbox I don’t see any problems with Afcon in his play at the moment, I see a player whose relative success has gone to his head, and it’s now influencing his decision making. He thinks he’s the best player in the world so can take every player on and win, when he can’t. He’s gone the same way as Igahlo did but for different reasons.

Undoubtedly a talented player, but very much like Rose, the reason he cost us £3m hasn’t just magically disappeared because Watford have signed him.

I am relieved my children don't particularly like football. This makes it so much easier to detach myself from this ****-show. Very little to like about the club anymore. Apathy overcomes feelings of frustration and anger.

**** this club in its current state.
