In amongst the disasters, I thought Sissoko played well, he seemed to be the only one to realise that with their high line and conpact midfield, that if you make runs past the forwards you were either going to break the lines or push their defence back and create gaps. Also appreciated Kamara passionately explaining to King that if he actually got into the 6 yard box when he was ready to cross it he might actually have a chance of scoring.
Wondering how long it will be before we see the infamous corner flag. Sent from my what the actual **** was that
After snatching the point away to Newcastle I thought the players would be more fired up, I couldnt have been more wrong. Apart from maybe 20 mins in the second half of the first half we were second best. Right from the kick off we looked off the pace. No idea what was said or happened at half time but I didnt like seeing JP tell King to **** off after he shot instead of playing the pass to King. As for the second half, I dont think I can say anything to add to what you are all thinking really. Kamara was at fault for both goals eventually but they shouldnt have been allowed to get into the positions they did to trouble us in the first place. Pozzos out for me now, I dont like what the club has become despite the relative success we have had or how good the ground looks now. I wonder who the next scapegoat manager they will bring in to cover their own failures? Who is the Eupen manager?
We might as well. Fleece the soppy Geordie ****wits for as much as possible and then reinvest in an enormous turnip!
Any reason Foster wasn't in? Ranieri sick of his Youtube? His post-match interview was telling about 'certain members'. But who?
Who would have thought Norwich would have done us over two legs. Spineless, abysmal pile of ****. Dean Smith made to look like a master tactician against a woeful shambles of a team. **** off Ranieri you absolute has been and **** off Pozzo for your arrogant, half arsed, penny pinching attempts at running this season.
Yes I knew I'd get mocked for that view but, it's honestly given nonetheless with the benefit of supporting this club for a long time. The reaction from these players in the next 2 - 3 games could still determine Ranieri's position if triggers aren't pulled instinctively tonight/this weekend. Foster's and even Cathcart's absences appear to have destabilised our defence late on in the build up. Maybe I'm clutching at straws but the strong team mentality I saw demonstrated at Newcastle had evaporated completely. Yes, we're odds on for the drop after that shambles but I'd prefer him to be involved.
I want Ranieri to stay till the end of the season but he killed our attack in the second half. The last 20 minutes of the first half we look like the team to score first and win the game. Then we started the game in the second half with King playing on the right wing and Dennis as the Centre Forward, from there, both players look lost in the game, and Norwich took advantage of that to attack us more and they fortunately got that all important first goal which gave them confidence and killed the game. I think Ranieri doesn't want to put King on the bench and was just trying to play him in different position in order to get the best out of him. But every time I have watch King play on the wing, he has looked **** to me because he doesn't have the pace and the reqiured skills to play on the wing. His hold up play has always been his strength, but unfortunately he can't use it on the wings. Ranieri should learn from that! Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
A difficult night to be sure. A mixed bag of horror, humiliation and comedy. I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned but I’d like to give a big shout out to Roy Moore and his band of super fans in the 1881. They promised a raucous atmosphere and by god, didn’t they deliver. Silence in the first half and up until the Norwich goal when they got behind the boys with such chants as ‘we’re ***** sh*t’, ‘you’re going down with the Watford’ and the hugely motivating ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ at our coach. Not a peep about the real culprits. Truly the fans we deserve. Well done lads.
Prior to today’s game I would have said the same.. However after that, after seeing the way we played.. Ranieri’s lost the dressing room and nothing will reverse it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. He needs to go, even if it means hiring someone worse than him. Give big Baz a chance I think.
You have got to be a troll? Destabilised our defence? The same defence that has kept ZERO clean sheets this season? Keeping a clean sheet would've stabilised it! The defence played right on form, nothing unstable about that mate.
We are a different team without Sarr and Foster. The only point we've got since Sarr's injury was the 1 game Foster played. We only have 1 PL keeper so when he's injured we're fooked.
My new favourite Twitter account Mr Ucko us already upset with the fans, Twitter and anything but the owners.
Yikes! Did we get battered at home again? By Norwich? When am I going to wake up from this nightmare?
My favourite line was the immortal classic ‘it’s only a game’ in the replies. Spineless compo chasing day outers with a tat hoarding joker as a figurehead. Hilarious.
It's good to see you again Malts, and it's now sadly become clear that Ranieri was in no way the answer, despite what many of us might have hoped, but that doesn't really have any impact on the fact that this is nothing more than pure revisionism. Ranieri is not the answer, but Xisco was even less of one (if that's possible) and that 'good spirit' was in fact very far from the club by the time we'd had a few games to have it exposed to the world and those imagining he was an actual coach had been thoroughly disabused of the notion. You can't genuinely believe we'd be in a better situation with him here - particularly given the astonishing raft of fundamental problems running through the club that have nothing to do with whoever is installed as coach this month. It also tallies rather poorly with what you actually said about Xisco and Ranieri's hiring at the time:
The disappointing thing is that Pozzo, Duxbury and Watford FC learnt absolutely nothing from our last time in the Premier league. It appears that they just want to grab the money and hope for the best in the Championship. The club is in danger of losing its fans. Losing to a weakened Norwich side was embarrassing. Vote with your feet and don't go to the home games. Let the club know how you feel. Up to the individual, but the club, players and owner certainly don't give a toss for how you feel or for your support. This is a very, very low point for Watford. Gino Pozzo or his Father need to decide if they should continue to invest in Watford FC or sell the club. We will get relegated and Ranieri will be gone soon.
This is the one thing I can't take as a Watford fan. I can literally take anything else: terrible players, relegation, 3 sided stand, sh1te football, silent stadium, lack of investment, I can take it all. But what I cannot take is being lied to, manipulated and gaslit by Duxbury, Giaretta and by association Gino. That is not the Watford I knew or loved and in my opinion it is a complete betrayal of the club, its legacy and our town. No amount of stand naming, statue making, subway painting makes up for it and I cant believe fans dont see through these gimmicks. Anyone who's been to Cuba, Vietnam or Turkmenistan would see the parellels.I genuinely dont care how Gino makes his money as long as no one is getting killed or physically harmed but I cannot tolerate the disdain him and his cronies have for the truth.
Ranieri is a competent manager, but he's not a ******* miracle worker, unfortunately that's what we needed!
We're not leaving the bottom three now. Quite nice to have everything done and dusted in January, I can spend my weekends doing something more enjoyable now.
Time to ditch formation like munoz did as 433 ain't working kamara and femina are not full backs there wing backs pedro and King are not wingers they got to be central ,trying to put square pegs in round holes I'm afraid is never going to work
As someone said earlier there are more important things than football ie family, friends, health, unless you win of course when football is top of the list!
