I was calm before the game. I now know why. This exactly what Watford do. Every fecking time. I think, subconsciously, I knew this would happen. Wish this season would end now tbh.
I think it is because of the magnitude of the match and how the players almost to a man have shrunk from the task. This team have gone.
Rather have the Plumley kid in goal than Bachmann. One of worst keepers ever to wear the shirt. Can we ask Gomes to come out of retirement?
Hi @wfcmoog - I've still not forgotten your comment. I know you said to quote it at the end of the season, but when Claudio surely gets sacked tomorrow I may not have the patience for that.
Says a lot about the culture at the club under the Pozzo and Duxbury. As the saying goes, ‘a fish rots from the head down’
Dreadful. No soul at the club. No spark. When players keep expecting fans to provide the energy then get played off the park in the first 10 minutes then this squad has no chance.
**** this. I'm off to support MK Dons, a club with a proud tradition and history. Thanks for the good times Watford but we're through.
This is a team with no soul. I can take being rubbish. I’ve seen that before. But I’ve never seen a team with such a spine of jelly. That the captain has to write to the fans to beg people to turn up says everything, as does the sight of thousands streaming out with 25 minutes to play. Football is an emotional game and without that emotional attachment to the people on the pitch it is meaningless. I’m sure some of the new players have something to give but at the moment hardly any of them, old or new, have any emotional credit in the bank and so it’s like watching a team of faceless shop mannequins stuffed into 11 Watford shirts. It’s not over yet but, dear me, that performance. As gutless and lacking in drive and vision and energy as anything I’ve seen. At least when Boothroyd went out and bought a load of car boot sale crap in the January of his Premier League season they scrapped a bit.
Impossible to stay in the PL with a Championship goalie. Why don't Scott and Gino understand that !?!?!??
What a cluster ****. Why the hell do we bother? Things are so messed up it is difficult to see what can be done to avoid embarrassment, never mind relegation. It doesn’t feel like a football club, more like an unhappy work place.
That smacks of a side on its way down . My only consolation is Norwich are almost certainly joining us . Not sure how they won 3-0 . They wouldn’t have beaten any other team in the league tonight
No. Comment was tongue in cheek. But I did say it wasn’t going to be the push over others predicted and that Norwich’s win at the weekend would act as a shot in the arm for them. We are dead now. Dennis missing the Burnley game is just the icing on the cake, but hey perhaps we can get it postponed again ? Need to think about future finances now and not spend desperate money trying to stay up.
Pathetic effort of course but accepting I'm probably in a very small minority, I'd prefer Ranieri to stay and help us rebuild.
That felt eerily similar to when we lost to Yeovil 3-0 at home under Zola. Again, like Newcastle, Norwich were awful, we were just way, way worse. The note from Sissoko, the social media rallying cry, the pre-match pyro, none of it backed up by a single man in yellow out there tonight. We should be ashamed to honour Graham Taylor with a performance the complete opposite of what he'd ask for as a minimum.
Awful 3-0 to Norwich An own ducking goal Beaker form the muppets scored their other two And Dennis somehow confined a red card awful **** awful see you all in the champ. Pathetic
What a load of rubbish. More individual errors cost us. We were well on top for the final half hour of the first half and I quite fancied us to get a win in the 2nd. Unfortunately Samir's error knocked the stuffing out of us - again. Such a scratty goal too. Fraction of a gnat's pube higher and it bounces the other side of the line. Dennis was a waste of a shirt. Kept on giving the ball away over and over again. We should have let him go to AFCON. It's pretty clear he's on a massive sulk. I would have substituted him at HT and I called for him to be subbed just before he got his stupid red. Second really put the tin lid on it. Hopeless Flapmann lets a weak header trickle past him into the corner. Game over pretty much. The third we got caught out a bit on the counter. I did feel a bit for Kuco because if he doesn't play that ball, there's two Norwich forwards waiting to tap it in. He was unfortunate there, All in all, it looks like that's it - we're going down. Ah well. Prem's shyte anyway.
And anyone still defending Ranieri has lost the plot, guy is an absolute dinosaur, said it when he was brought in, the man is 70 years old, I want him fired tonight.
