I’m not sure, but he was pretty inoffensive and didn't say much that was particularly BW or Cog biased. The only thing he did repeat a few times is that we have a good squad, which is obviously questionable.
Norwich have scored 10 goals in 21 games, they’ve conceded 45. Fail to win and we should be relegated on the spot.
Failure of us to score at least 2 (and conceding fewer) with Gunn in goal will extinguish any hope I have of remaining in the Premier league! Should we fail to win, the only positive (for me, at least) is I won't waste time in working out a path, through the rest of the season, to survival!
A genius media team would've made it read like a French man whose second language is English had written it. Alternatively, do a video message. Ah well.
No, not nervous. Not nervous at all. In fact I'll be very relaxed in these 5 hours and 2 minutes before kick off. Very relaxed. 5 hours and 1 minute now....
Burnley game rescheduled for FA cup weekend 6pm Sat 5th. If Ivory Coast qualify for the Semis, Cornet will be playing in the 3rd 4th playoff that day or the final the next day so wont be available. Ivory Coast have Egypt in R16, so fingers crossed they can get through.
This is why I despise being a Watford fan most of the time. The dreaded wait for KO, hoping… praying… that those 11 men play well. 8 times out of 10, they’re *****… Still.. i’m doing the same praying and hoping every week. It’s an addiction really.
It always surprises me when people think that a team using their reserve goalkeeper will therefore be easy meat, as if they were playing with 10 men. Reserve keepers are not normally inexperienced teenagers. They can still catch and make saves. They are not missing an arm. It's possible they will make the odd poor decision, which the first choice keeper wouldn't and that may or may not be significant, but on the other hand he might have a great game. Older posters will remember Nigel Spink, Villa's reserve keeper coming on as an early sub in the European Cup Final only to have a brilliant game and a great career on the back of it. More recently Martinez was a reserve at Arsenal for years but showed great form when he got a chance and is now first choice for Villa as well as being Argentina's keeper.
Most aren't continental cup winning level goalies though are they! Besides, even if Gunn is quite good, he's replacing a very good keeper in Krul
I never said it would be easy, but I expect 2 goals minimum with our front line, and definitely with Gunn in goal. My opinion was formed after reading the Norwich forum. They have already started a thread "Krul would have saved that"!
What about their record with Smith as manager? Idah gives them much more of a threat. Not denying the sentence either way.
Goals scored record is very, very marginaly better but broadly the same (0.55 p/g) plus still nearly 2 goals per game conceded, so barely any better. Small sample size but his record as manager at Norwich is by far his worst compared to all his other clubs, reason being they’re ****. So still no excuses either way.
Yes I'm going for a very nervous performance (understandable given 7(?) defeats and a draw in our last 8 matches) and a 1-1 draw.
