I am hearing that there will be an announcement soon and that is that the Premier League have Rejected the application from Burnley to postpone the game. Burnley vs Watford is, on, tomorrow.
Watch those ****ers still field a strong team (by their own standards) tomorrow if they’re told to play.
Just about to say this You can bet your ******** to a barn dance that he'll name his normal XI plus a decent bench
Bit of a catch 22, he either risk losing a key game or fields a strong squad and gets a big backlash from the media
TBH, Dyche would not give to figs about media backlash. If, like you say he fields a decent side and beats us easily because we do not turn up, fair play to him. Regardless of who he puts out, we cannot take this game lightly. Three points tomorrow night would be huge - and a possible 4 points from two tricky away games would be a decent return.
If he fields a decent side and we lose tomorrow, Burnley should be immediately relegated. The rules are simple, field a ***** team and lose to Watford OR field a strong team, the FA say fark that you lying bastads and relegate them, handing over 3 points to us. In other words, Watford should get 3 points tomorrow whatever happens.
That's what I would have thought - in which case it would be completely ludicrous for the PL to leave it until the away side has already travelled to potentially call the game off; it would completely screw us over and waste an entire day or two of potential training and preparation.
Still no announcement then? I was kind of hoping that they would at least give fans 24 hours notice as I am unsure what to do about work tomorrow. ****all consideration for supporters.
Kabasele has just posted a waiting/bored gif on Twitter, so I take it the players aren’t any the wiser.
If we have already travelled up for the game and it is called off now that will be ridiculous and extremely unfair to us, because as someone has already said our whole week will have been disrupted unnecessarily and probably have a knock on effect for our game on Friday.
The Athletic understand the decision could go either way and the club are relaxed about the prospect One to watch
Surely this is quite a simple decision, either Burnley have sufficient players or they don't. I'd imagine there's some push back from BT which is causing the delay. Absolutely no consideration for the fans though as usual.
Might take longer than that. Don't they have to buy new crayons to draw the "lines"? It always helps in such important decision making.
Have the PL made a rod for their own backs by saying they’d come back with a decision today? Taking the travelling aspect out of it for our players and fans, would be wise to see if they return negative tests tomorrow morning so they have a bigger squad potentiallly?
It's madness how Palace never got in trouble for trying to postpone their game with Spurs, only to field a full strength 11. We'd have been crucified for doing the same.
