Their defence is rotten but if they get an 'organisation merchant' in they have enough at the other end from Richarlison, DCL, Gray, Townsend etc. to survive

 

Probably, but I'm not sure they'll necessarily "pull away" as such.

 

Leeds probably could have had a case for postponing this but they've gone for the 3 points instead. Fair play.

 

There we are then - points and performance suggest that without two of their three best players and with 9 senior players available (according to the commentary) Leeds are clear. Marvellous.

I am not so sure they will do, Rafa is not a bad manager and they had Ancelotti before him and they were still poor. Who is available that is better than Rafa or Carlo Ancelotti?

 

Watching Leeds at the moment. I had fancied our chances of catching Leeds, but after seeing their intensity to get their (disallowed) 4th, it really then means we must beat Burnley and Norwich to stay in touch (I'm disregarding Everton) . With King and Dennis dropping their form, as well as at least 1 guaranteed defensive mess-up per game, I can just see us failing to get at least one win from next 2. Failure to win either of next 2 (an absolute minimum) realistically means preparing for the Championship. It's now 3 from 4

 

Hopefully they will have too much for Newcastle next week and on yesterdays performance they should have. To be honest I never really fancied Leeds to go down they are mostly where they are as a result of having loads of injuries. I honestly think it is between the bottom four to slug it out although I wouldn't write Everton off they look dreadful and have won one match in their last 13. I don't see them getting a manager that will magically make them good, Rafa has been at Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Liverpool.

The Everton job seems a bit of a poisoned chalice. Even when Silva flopped there, I'm not convinced it was all down to him, and his successor, one of the most highly rated managers in football, could only get them to mid-table two seasons running, with for good measure a shocker of a performance against Bournemouth on the final day of 2019/20 which meant we'd have been relegated even if Arsenal had accomplished the reasonably expected task of avoiding defeat at Villa.

Still 6 points from 13 games is a shocking run especially after such a good start, and there must be someone who can do better with their squad with the fair amount of talent it has in it.

 

I do not believe Masuaku is held in high esteem by the Spammers in general.

Antonio has been absolutely appalling.

 

I can’t remember how the other results panned out, but we had Arsenal on the last day of the season in 19/20.

 

I think he's referencing in a roundabout way how in the second last round of fixtures Arsenal made 6 changes against Villa, handing them points for free, only to then resume a full-strength lineup despite having a cup final soon afterwards, to happily relegate us. Kunts.
