Definitely needed a lot more patience when crossing today, ffs, how many of those early crosses actually got to one of our players?
There was one occasion where he could have whipped the ball in, Sarr and King had lost their men and he inexplicably turned back and played a weak left foot cross straight to a defender. His decision making and execution needs to improve.
I like him but wouldn’t be gutted if the fee was decent. Need to start bringing funds in to offset relegation losses.
Certainly wouldn’t be the end of the world to sell him now rather than be forced to in 6 months time anyway when we’re relegated.
I would rather keep him, at least he plays like he cares most of the time and he is showing signs of improvement. If we do go down then he would do well in the championship for us which will aid his development also. I dont think he is that far from turning into a good player for a club of our level.
If he was prepared to stay and play in the Championship I'd be very happy to have him, but whether he would be is something I'm far more dubious about.
One of those players where you think it's always really close to it clicking for him but it never happens, I fear.
I’m assuming not, hence why he didn’t last season, which is why I wouldn’t be against getting rid now if it’s inevitable anyway.
He didn't have a passport yet when last season started, so we had to loan him out, and we didn't have a recall clause for him in Jan, so he couldn't have played in the Champ whether he'd have been okay with it or not.
I literally pondered in this thread in December prior to the Jan window in the Champ whether we could recall him from his loan, to which the replies here were: You even posted something in the same page in the thread, meaning you'd surely also seen it. https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/cucho-hernandez.53503/page-10#post-2941687
Hey, take it up with the club! I'm just showing you what they said that contradicts what you were saying!
The Athletic stated it wasn't possible in Jan. As SLB said, maybe the "break clause" was conditional on certain things which didn't happen, eg him not being played.
Look, if you choose to believe the information the clubs pumps out like ‘break clause’, ‘best of the rest’ and ‘learned the lessons of last time’, then more fool you.
Wasn't that press release on the break clause swiftly deleted, just like the one about Dahlberg's new contract in the summer?
It definitely said there was an option to buy initially, then that was changed to mention the break clause. I can't recall if anything happened after that.
Cucho certainly did, but for some reason he rarely looks as good when he gets to start a match? Perhaps super sub is his best position for the team
One of the few who looks like he wants to be here, but other than a few isolated incidents here and there, doesn't really look good enough
Fantastic today. Hardest worker and the highest level of quality. We need to keep a few for the Championship and I really hope he's here.
Well I wanted both Cucho and Pedro to get opportunities to show what they're about on a more consistent level. Both I thought gave very good accounts of themselves. Just hope we can keep both for next season. As for Kalu he looked very bright on his cameo debut. I certainly liked what I saw. Apart from Cleverly falling asleep and Louzas woeful cross field ball we battled well against one of the inform teams. Even after those individuals mistakes we had chances to get a foot in but it wasn't meant to be. I've always said I can deal with a loss but not without us showing a little fight and desire. They tried yesterday and created chances but it was one of those days.
I think the Championship would suit him as he has some good physical qualities and a bit of aggression about his play. And I think at that level his movement would be a cut above and I can see him as a 20+ goal striker if he stays motivated. Can't see him staying though and imagine he'll have a queue of mid-table La Liga sides making offers.
