I wonder why Fabio Cannavaro was at the game today. On the net it says he’s a big cycling fan, maybe a video with our Ben or maybe Pozzo has offered him a job.
Was never likely to be a great outcome today and hard to read much into the performance , as Ranieri has had virtually no time to work with these players. I can kind of see how he was trying to avoid getting battered today but it did not work and we looked very timid. The shape looked much better in the second half , with a back 4 and Sarr moving back out wide and we had a few bright moments , but by then Liverpool ha ld won the match and were cruising . The only plus points were sissoko , who is absolutely good enough and Ngakia, who was very solid when he came on. There is clearly still loads of work for Claudio to do , but will be easier to judge against Everton next weekend .
Nice to see our professionals absolutely raging after being humiliated. It's this sort of thing that really ****s fans off.
Yes. I think he tried to catch Liverpool by tactical surprise, but the players (and their preparation) were nowhere up to it.
Just like to say how pathetic we looked today on and off the pitch. Even the fans couldn’t be bothered. Most turned up late. The Vicarage Rd crowd really haven’t created any atmosphere this season. I must admit there wasn’t anything to cheer about after the Ko but it doesn’t help having half empty stands when the teams come out. Watford home fans have lacked passion in the past but the melancholy and apathy this season is really not helping matters.
I actually thought Masina at Lwb/lb was an attempt at an attacking tactic. We kept going long towards TAA and I think Masina was supposed to be there to win the long ball. Granted, the long ball normally went straight out of play…
Maybe they were stuck tying to get in with the phone ticket system which seems to be a bit of a hassle most weeks unless you get there early (when the coaches turn up)? Also sounds like loads of people in the home end weren't supporting Watford!
Close him down and he’ll make a mistake, stand of him and he doesn’t know what to do so pumps a long ball forward
Wasn’t due to our utter farce of an electronic ticketing system?? Pretty incredible your number one gripe today is our supporters!
He'll probably get a few thousand more YouTube subscribers, that's what really matters. I honestly don't understand how a professional, in any job, can have a big grin on their face after such a **** display.
Certainly got that end of career type feel to him. Just seems to be happy to be playing regardless of the result like it's a last hurrah.
True story . Got in late and a flag was in my seat and the others next to mine. Had to sort this out on my own WWFC sort this out !
Did you go? Atmosphere was great against Villa, not had much to shout about since. As for empty stands it was an early kick off which always causes issues and there were long queues pre match caused by body searches and ongoing technical difficulties using phones to gain access.
Yes I always go. Villa was okay simply because we murdered them. Wolves today and Newcastle was awful.
Wouldn't be surprised if Foster got him the tickets. They follow each other on Instagram and on his Instagram story after being kicked out this guy says he still loves Foster, or something along those lines. Difficult to understand the accent. If so then Foster is an idiot as well as playing crap today. Don't forget to subscribe though!
Think if you read the post again I moaned about on the pitch as well. Some fans clapped at the end ffs.
Not many positives to be had. Just let Liverpool do what they wanted. No press and completely outclassed in all departments. Summed up when our first bit of decent pattern of play when out to Masina who inexplicably misscontrolled it straight to central midfield which led to Liverpool's second. Never rated Masina, nice bloke but couldn't pass wind Ngakia did ok as did Pedro and attacking wise we caused them a few anxious moments in the last 20 mins Pozzo's lack of investment in defence and lack of depth in midfield has come home to roost On to the next one but bit of a depressing day
Looks like it, Foster's gormless side kick from YouTube was standing there in the video and pretty sure that the Scouse bloke said 'your goalie got us tickets' to the steward. We're a joke of a club, players openly take the piss. If Foster has got a bunch of Scousers tickets in a home stand to boost his YouTube views he can **** right off.
