Well yes, but it's still in Spanish. A torn hamstring can also be what we would call usually call a pulled hamstring (if it's a low grade tear). There's a massive difference between a partial tear in the hamstring muscle (weeks) and the muscle being completely torn (months). None of the updates tell us anything about the severity of the tear.
Yeah, I did think when I first read it that surely a 'pull' is essentially a minor tear? And so without hearing from the club we just don't know.
The fact that he managed to keep jogging and put the ball out for a corner means he hasn't ruptured it. Can tell you first hand that if he'd have properly torn it he'd have fallen flat on his face immediately and Leeds would have scored.
Before the season I put our chances of survival at 60% especially after Norwich game. Etobos injury reduced that to 45%. Ranieri replacing Xisco increased that slightly to 50%. If SA is out long term then I put our chances 40 %. Apart from Sarr you could not have picked 2 worse players to become injured. They are probably the only players in the squad who can defend efficiently and effectively.
If it's months rather than weeks then we are f**ked. All three of our other centre backs are beyond woeful.
Just checked the bookies and they have at us around 4/5 for relegation, so my 40% survival is in the ball park, at least within that consensus system.
I reckon he'll be conveniently injured only through the international break, then just about not be back for the Pool game (in which we'll get spanked anyway), so ready to play again vs Everton.
If he is indeed actually out for any significant period of time/months, we literally have no choice but to bring in a free agent, and that's before the CB we'll need to actually buy in the brilliant market that is the January window, that we were apparently holding out for in the summer. Yes, I appreciate how much this won't actually happen regardless.
Genuinely won the Champions League on FM with those boys playing centre back for me. It was about 10 years ago, mind.
Did some research in it and apparently a pulled hamstring is also a tear, it’s just called a pull . What differentiates between 4 weeks out and 4 months out is if the tendon has been disrupted . So we still dont know I guess .
That's just a lift from the Chilean FA's statement which came out earlier in the week and was spoken about on here near the top of the page.
I appreciate his injury might still be getting assessed, but five days later still no communication form the club m, whereas some communication was obviously had almost immediately between him or the club and Chile
More likely than not we won't hear anything from the club until Ranieri's first press conference pre-Liverpool.
https://www.watfordfc.com/news/news-king-sierralta-kabasele-injury-updates Out for three weeks. Kabasele out for longer.
Yep. Ranieri has turned up to training with the new bloke the only centre back available for him to start coaching as our only two fit ones are away on international duty. Comedy FC, the team for me!
To be fair this situation would have been completely unforeseeable even to such a competent squad builder as Pozzo. And as Leventhal would dramatically point out, you can't, you CAN'T have more than 25 players.
How many centre backs(first team, not youth back ups) do other squads have? Not having a pop, just wondering
Ironically, now we have more senior centre backs than many Premier League clubs now, although naturally with the caveat that our 3rd/4th/5th choices won't be as good as many clubs' backups, and obviously not every club will have centre backs going away to the AFCON mid-season
