Fabulous win. Sure, Norwich ARE going down. They made some really horrendous mistakes at the back today, but we were able to capitalise and looked really good going forward. Our goals were well executed, and to be fair we could have scored more. We won't have an easier game all season (apart from maybe when we play Norwich at home) but we still have to take advantage of poor opposition. If we play crap on the day, they can beat us just as easily. But, I'm very confident we'll finish above Norwich this season. Just need to find another couple of lame ducks. Newcastle, Burnley are fitting the bill currently. That's our mini league this season. We have to beat these sides, and hope we'll get a few extras along the way, like the Villa win. Wolves last week showed us how easy it is to get turned over by a side clearly off form. They lost again today without scoring. That was a massive missed opportunity for us. The quality of our first goal was great to see. So unlike us to score a goal like that. Quality cross and a really well timed header. We just don't do these things often enough. That's my favourite goal this season. Great to see Kiko play and fire in some quality crosses, with Rose on the other side, our wing backs have potential, as Rose's passing is superb. Clearly some questions to be asked over Sierralta's exclusion, and no Tufan too? Need to find out the reasons for that. Xisco lives to fight another day. Now on to Newcastle and the next "must win" game.
Dennis and Capoue are the only watford players to have scored our first home goal and first away goal in a Premier League season.
There might I'm be the odd positive comment here and there but the usual hate would make a Luton fan proud. I've had him on ignore for nearly two years now and, for me anyway, the forum has been a much better experience since.
Without doubt you are one of the most boring and tireless posters on this forum , and that is saying something .
Or suggesting he's pretty relentless with negative nonsense posts? Not a massively unfair shout, if so
Rose was alright, very up and down, there was a patch early in the second half where he was lucky not to give away a free kick and a pen, but I feel he'll easily be worth his place in the team once he's up to speed. The perfect game for Kiko, naturally didn't have an awful lot of defending to do, but a quality ball for the opener, I thought Ngakia was up and down when he came on, played his part in the goal though. Clev was good, again, an ideal game for him disrupting them just like he did for us last season. Thought Kucka was good tbf, although I was surprised he got 90 mins!
Not that 'Premier League experience' is the be all and end all, but he's one of the few in that squad who has any kind of decent track record in this division
I thank you for your undying support. Without your input l feel sure my life would be empty. Don't wait so long to contact me next time.
Never knew that, well you learn something new (nearly) every day. That's my favourite Rolling Stones album, along with Sticky Fingers (making them two of my favourite albums of all time), I need to listen to it again, which I haven't done for a loooong time.
We beat Norwich. Yay. Although it tells us nothing about our chances this season, because we always beat Norwich.
But people wouldn't be quoting average positive comments, would they? It's always going to be the extreme, so making a public judgement when all you can see (by your own choice and admission) are those extremes seems rather prone to lacking in genuine representation, I would say - particularly when you make a claim about his posting as a whole. Seems kind of funny really, you know? 'Oh, almost all his posting is uniformly negative! Does reading them make me unhappy, you ask? God, no - I don't read them - I've purposefully made it impossible for myself to see them for the past two years. Still, they're all uniformly negative!'
Just seen Jake Humphrey claim that Norwich were better in almost every way on Twitter. Not sure what he was watching!
More relieved than anything at that result . I still thought the result could go Norwich’s way until Sarr got his goal . In Sarr and Dennis we clearly have that bit of match winning quality which is going to be massively important if we are gonna stay up . Kiko demonstrated what we have been missing in an attacking capacity , he was very effective . I think Sissoko is looking decent . Not sure why cathcart was chosen over Sierralta and Kabasele . He got caught out on a few occasions , including the Norwich goal . Decent performance . Can’t help feeling we also really need something from Newcastle , preferably another win .
