Good win. The team is still fairly disjointed since the entire midfield and forward line barely know each others' names, but that has to be expected when you replace everything except the defensive line. Some good signs, and I think the we'll continue to improve in those areas. Rose played some cracking balls today, including one nearer the end that was ultimately intercepted at the last moment but was very near to being sublime and getting us in again. He's clearly not at peak fitness yet but he's going to be a great signing for us. Disappointed Kiko is injured as he was doing good work with Sarr again. Bit unlucky not to get a penalty when Sema was in, but we finally got some mileage out of VAR to (correctly) get our third so can't complain too much. Shame King didn't score but he did at least get an assist, which should take the pressure off a bit. I thought Dennis was unlucky to go off, he wasn't far from a second shortly before his sub and continues to get into dangerous spots. Bit disappointed not to see Cucho on today, but Sema did well in both directions so hard to fault that sub in the end.
Good win, I'm going to celebrate by going out for a Italian meal with Mrs Mazz. I asked her to wear something slutty, she said no. Can't win em all.
Entertaining game , yes Norwich are ***** but was still worried till the third went in. the squad should get better as they play more together. Attack was good we had plenty of chances and unlike previous season in prem does feel like we have goals in us, if Sarr and Dennis continues to score and gets more confidence they will be enough to keep us in the prem, just need King to find the back of the net now. midfield , not sure , Against Aston Villa looked great since then a bit hit and miss , cleverly was good tbf defence, credit where credit is due they came under a lot of pressure but were equal to it (for the most part) , I really like Kiko think he has got a lot better over time , need to find a replacement for Cathcart though did start to get worried when we started missing the ball in the 2nd half , sissoko in the midfield then Dennis on the sideline not sure a highly paid player should actually do that.
******* hell Naarch are ****. We did ok and dispatched them as we should do. Beat Newcastle and its a good start but they are a CL team compared to that dross we played today.
'I only wish Bachmann would take crosses within his 6 yard box. That's all I ask as Foster is a clear 2nd choice keeper now in every other aspect'. Bachmann will not change Check his career out. He will not come off his line, never has, never will.
From Sky Sports - they can't even bear to mention our name: What's next? Norwich face Liverpool in the EFL Cup third round on Tuesday evening at 7.45pm, while host Stoke City at the same time.
It's odd that Fosters weakness is his decision making, rather than something to with physicality. You would expect him to decline physically (reflexes, speed and agility), but not in his decision making. Seems a bit strange to me.
When it comes to keepers, I really didn’t give Foster a second thought today, whereas Bachman constantly fills me with dread when the ball goes near the box.
You Orns! Big win, and must be very demoralising for Norwich City. For all of their talk about Watford being physically stronger and them being a technical football team I thought we moved the ball around better than they did and with more purpose. Isn't that 15 games for Norwich without a Premier League win? Infact I have just checked out of interest and they have lost their last 15 Premier League games. The longest losing run by any side in English top-flight history under a single manager.
Found his level with a 6/10 performance against a side with the potential to be the worst in the history of the league. Good stuff.
Yeah that was stonewall. Aside from his quick debut goal, Cucho has not shown enough in either direction to justify time on the pitch. If anything he's looked a liability when we've been needing to defend.
BBC are claiming we switched to 4231 with Kucka and Sissoko in a double pivot. Can any tactical masterminds confirm or discredit this?
Cleverley starts, puts in a good performance and we win. You're happy, surely? As many have said in the past, he's a good option to have for certain games, but shouldn't be starting regularly. As proven again today.
When Cleverley is being used in that pressing role just off the striker then he's very useful. For certain away games I wouldn't mind seeing him there again.
Today confirmed what most of us suspected. We only need to worry about 2 relegation places this season, as Narrch have already got bottom spot nailed on.
I am happy, yeah, definitely. I just don't suddenly think Cleverley is good enough because he was OK against Norwich. Did a job today against a very, very poor side, but like you say shouldn't be starting regularly.
But he's good enough to do a job at times, as we've seen today and against Villa. Not sure the same can be said for Cathcart, however.
Any away win is a good win We still have to be better in midfield, their goal was a bit sunday league. Throw to the spare man who lobs it over the top - Why wasn't anyone picking up that spare man to stop that ? Against better teams we'll get punished if we give that many open chances around our box. A good confidence boost which we really need to capitalise on with a positive result next week. 9 wins to go
