Any advice on the best place(s) to park near Carrow Road?

    Thanks.

The Linton Travel Tavern isn't too far away - its on the A11 and equidistant between Norwich and London. Genius location. Only one guest staying there currently so should be ample parking too. I believe most of Norwich itself is pedestrianised so parking nearer could be a struggle.

Take the A47 towards Yarmouth at the Thickthorn roundabout, ignore the turnoff to the football ground, and leave at the next exit to go towards Thorpe. Turn right into Harvey Lane at the traffic lights and first left into Stanley Avenue where you should be able to park. Then walk along Thorpe Road into Carrow Road.

Beware if you want a shower during your stay, the bars of soap only withstand one aggressive body scrub at best.

Might I suggest about 3 feet in front of wherever Daniel Bachmann is?

Park at Stowmarket near the station. Plenty of cheap parking or even free down the side streets. Just off the A14, no traffic, no hassle.
Closer to London by miles. Watford Norwich 2hrs30. Watford Stowmarket 1hr 35
Bonus points for a quick pint of Peroni at the Mill bar by the station, they are okay with football colours and the foods alright too.
28 minutes on the train (only one stop) and youre practically on top of carrow road.

Filbert how about using one in each hand? Would that work?
Or a nice bath with a cap full of Dettol?

I meant to mention that before you get to Harvey Lane you'll find a couple of places on the right offering matchday parking.

Just had a look on Google street - Stanley Ave looks like a great place to park but guessing it fill sup quickly?!

Loads of re-badged Mini Metros though. They’re only small so should be plenty of space.

Yes. But it's always worth a try. If you're driving 100 miles and planning to get a drink you should be there before the locals anyway.

Yourparkingspace.co.uk is pretty handy, you might even find one close by to the Stadium on there.

In the past I have parked at Norfolk County Council county hall. It’s a ten to 15 minute walk. This year going on the train.

    Good choice!

Probably best to avoid county hall as they have been doing a lot of building work including around the car park+they are Uber Covid sensitive so probably wouldn’t risk any nasty imported Watford germs!
The park and ride at Thickthorn roundabout is almost certainly the best option. I live in Norwich and getting your car anywhere near carrow rd is a ghastly experience even when there is no game on. Worth mentioning that there are some fairly major roadworks going on that are causing huge backlogs around the city

The train is a good choice as others have said getting around Norwich, particularly on a match day is a bit of a nightmare and there are lots of roadworks currently.

This is a big game, I think Norwich need to win this, they have lost all four games this season but they will still have the hope that the reason for this is they have played Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal. However, Leicester were thrashed 4-1 by West Ham the game before they played Norwich and Arsenal hadn't scored a goal or picked up a point before they played Norwich at The Emirates last Saturday. I can imagine if they don't win this one then it will be quite demoralising for Norwich and it will set us up nicely for Newcastle at home.

There's a space directly in front of our goal which might help us?

So we won the game, but it means nothing until we have a review of the parking. Please do tell of the results...

Could be difficult after the pedestrianisation of the Norwich City centre.

We followed rochdaleaway’s advice and used the Park & Ride, but at Norwich Airport because we were coming down from a morning spent at Cley NWT reserve. It worked really well and the weather up at Cley was great.

It was either very slow getting out of the car park, late kick off (which it wasn’t) or you went for a celebratory pint! Or three!
