I can't see him failing it. Turkey are ranked 39th and by a quick glance it looks as if he's played in every game across the last year which should give him auto pass (up to 70% of available mins is a pass). Worst case scenario is that he played 50% of available mins which gives him an 8. Turkey is a band 2 competition which means he gets 10 points just for coming from Fenerbache. There were 40 games played (so 3600 minutes available) in the Super Lig last season, he played 2713 of them sso around 75% of minutes played which gets him another 3 points. They qualified for the Europa League playoff in the process which gets another point. Worst case scenario (I have a feeling it's more) I have him at 22 points - you need 15 to get a work permit. Absolutely no chance he fails.
Someone somewhere doesn't know that Turkey is a red-list country and quarantine rules, there have put 2 and 2 together and got 5.
There is no problem in the transfer, it is a matter of perception by the disgraced Turkish media with the enmity of Fenerbahce.
I am a Turkish and Fenerbah*e fan, I am very happy for Ozan's transfer. The Turkish media tormented Ozan a lot because the best Turkish midfielder played in Fenerbahce. The weight problem is that when he starts dribbling about his body structure, the number of players who can catch up with him is very few. Top player for counter attacking football
I'm hearing he failed to get a Work Permit as a player and instead has qualified as he has a current HGV licence. Free transfer to XPO Logistics to be announced Monday.
https://twitter.com/aaron_bennis10/status/1435266090083524615?s=19 If he's anywhere close to being as popular with us as he clearly is with our friends from Fenerbahce, we're onto a winner!
He's on the bench tonight against the Netherlands, hope he gets some play time. The game is live here in Sweden
Akchewally there must be a big Turkish ex-pat community in/near Waffod - as the Asda has a bloody big aisle of 'Turkish' goods?
@Filbert and co must be despairing at the form of their central half who plays for Turkey. Let in 4 at West Ham Gave away a penalty against Norwich Another penalty and red card v the Netherlands
He’s had a remarkably bad start to the season. The two fouls against the Dutch looked like a deliberate attempt to get sent, I don’t think he should be anywhere near a football pitch until he’s sorted himself out.
Apparently he has had COVID too ? Plus a poor Euros. Probably lacking any self confidence and of course you have 2 other key defenders injured.
You think he sabotaged himself? Personally, I've never particularly rated him, he makes a lot of last-ditch tackles so looks good, but if he didn't have his pace he'd be struggling big time, a slightly better version of our Kabasele
Yes. He’s class. You almost wonder why Celta Vigo were desperate to sell him for a low amount after a season of being on loan to a relegated side? There’s such a low body of evidence that he’s not a great player. Madness to judge him on 1 international game, I agree. Boy, this sarcasm is contagious.
It would make sense, and Watford would do well to get out of the deal. They paid a £900k loan fee and had an option to purchase at over £10m, I believe. They'll probably have to waive the loan fee, but it was another punt that didn't pay off. We need him out, as he'll continue to offer nothing. We can't afford any passengers this season. The entire squad has to contribute or else they are part of the problem and taking a wage. Gosling is another who has to be moved on. Fletcher as well, but only on loan to the Championship. When you look at our squad there are quite a few who could go and it wouldn't matter at all. I'd put Kabs into that category as well, but mainly because he's never fit. Basically, any player from the 25 man squad who does not get much game time, needs to go.
Hopefully Fletcher and Gosling get a run out Saturday and persuade a club to take a punt. Tufan has to go also. Add to that Sema and Rose and we've freed up spaces to add to the squad. Kabs and Kiko unfortunately are again out injured but it wouldn't bother me at all if they didn't wear the shirt again.
