Seeing their fans reactions to this signing goes to show that it isn't just ours that go mad over a terrible terrible signing.
Only on loan so probably got to pay some wages ? https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1432772724607356930
No difference, he's off at the end of the season anyway. Might actually have a drink to celebrate this and I barely ever drink!
Yep. A perm transfer or a season-long loan basically means the same thing to us. Either way... 1. We will have to pay him a % of his wages for the remainder of his contract 2. There will be no fee involved 3. He's gone & he ain't coming back.
We'll probably be paying the vast majority of his wages, but if QPR are paying £20k pw that would be £1m saved. Dunno if £20k is realistic or not (I'm not acquainted with their financial situation).
At last I can defrost my Champagne now, because it froze as I have had it on ice since yesterday Navarro has gone too whoopee!!!
Suspect we've paid off a portion of Deeney's wages, but that even when you take into account his wages at Brum he's still taking a pay cut, whereas with Gray, we'll be paying most of his wages with QPR paying the rest of what is stated on his current deal with us
What a cathartic couple of days we've had, moving on a lot of the dead weight that had built up around the club and getting us ready for a hopefully bright future. Might celebrate with a few drinks and trawling through a website with every single Peel session on to listen to.
What sealed the deal was that he was told he would be playing with and scoring with London dykes. Jeez Louise, what have they done. Dykes and Gray up front. I assume they forgot to include a recall clause.
Well, what to say about Gray? Firstly, clearly it's not his fault that the club spunked so much money on such a limited player, I genuinely felt sorry for him because of how out of his depth he was at times, but despite that, he always worked hard on the pitch and did score some crucial goals. I can forgive him for being a former scummer (Spring and Chamberlain were, and they weren't bad, were they!), but the Newcastle incident was never going to endear him to us, and the lockdown incidents, while they probably wouldn't have made much impact in the grand scheme of things, clearly didn't help us at a difficult time both for the club and for the country as a whole. Well, I guess this is it Andre, I won't say I'll be following your subsequent career with much interest, but I will say you weren't as bad as Success and Ellington!
