Well, 25 minutes of those he was surrounded by the u23 players. So I wouldn’t judge him on that. Him and Rob Elliot were the only 2 senior players by the end I think.
Unlikely. We’d never sign an aging striker with a questionable injury record. We’re not Brighton, who sign the likes of Welbeck. Gino and Scott do business properly.
https://twitter.com/joshkingfc/status/1428318497440927744?s=21 Not sure Josh King is aware that we are the hornets and not the bees, this is about the third time I’ve seen him say COYB instead of COYH.
He's probably confused why we call moose hornets, have a bee on the shirt back, and dog paws over everything else
BBC's wrapup of Xisco press conference. "Marlon King and Kiko Femenia are available for selection, but Juraj Kucka is a doubt;"
Decent debut, albeit with the game lost by then, looks like we have two decent options at CF...the issue is how to get the ball to them
He looked OK when he first came on down the middle, but then we brought on Deeney and shifted out wide, WHY?
An encouraging debut, showed plenty of strength and held the ball up, which is something we were missing horribly. Agree re switching him out wide, but Cisco was throwing on every forward he had and you can hardly play dear old Troy out on the wing, can you?
Didn't really do much, but didn't have much support. We looked a lot better once Dennis came on for him at half time, his pace terrified them
Seemed very strange that King was the striker and Fletcher on the wing. I think King would have been more effective if he could feed off Fletcher.
He's going to be good for us. Good pace and had a few good touches. Didn't really get too much of the ball though as Watford were on the backfoot for most of the first half. I like what I've seen so far. Lots of promise.
Difficult decision for Xisco. King , the proven EPL striker , and Dennis looking very sharp in 2 of his 3 games .
Yes it makes a nice change for us to be contemplating who we could possibly leave out as opposed to who we could possibly pick.
Similar to Tuesday in that he looked fine, didn’t do much wrong but we hardly had the ball in their half so it’s hard to judge. If you’re being really harsh you could say there were two chances for him to have had a shot from the edge of the box if he’d nailed his first touch. Instead they both got away ever so slightly and he had to tee up a teammate with his second touch instead.
Not great. Didn't have anything to bother Spurs aging back line. Had a few laughable wafts at the ball that would have the fanbase in a tizz if his name was Andre.
Sounds like King is a good striker if you give him service, but can't really worry defences without that service. Maybe if we're going for this midfield, with a lot of energy but not too much guile, go for Dennis at CF and Cucho on the left, but if we have Tufan and/or Louza (when they get up to speed), go for King up front?
I thought he was decent. Quick, mobile and a lot stronger than I thought he was. Looks like a guy who hasn't had much of a pre-season but I reckon he'll be our starting striker for a lot of games this season.
