https://www.owngoalnigeria.com/2021...ns-unhappy-with-emmanuel-denniss-performance/ Not the greatest of sources but apparently we're trying to loan him out already after being unhappy with his performances and his addiction to social media.
That is mental, if true. I look forward to people defending it and saying he needs to gain experience or something.
It doesn't. It says the club aren't happy with him so far (which may or may not be true), but only mentions loaning out TDB & Success.
It doesn't ! But it does say the club are unhappy with his performances and addiction to social media. Never understood anyone living their life on social media
Can’t see this being true whatsoever. He was one of our best players against Arsenal in pre-season and he was involved with our goal from his pace/press. Not only that, he tracked back relentlessly and stopped multiple Arsenal attacks by getting back, blocking the ball, making a tackle etc. Obviously that’s only one game out of many, but confident this is just made up BS. Don’t follow him on social media, but who really gives a rip about how much time footballers spend on it. Literally feels like the media outlet just completely made that up. Fully expect Dennis to be involved in the first team. We need his pace, even if it’s off the bench.
It's probably not. But has all the hallmarks that it could be. A bit like we all laughed at the story that the players all hated Ivic after 2 days of training which ended up being accurate.
What does he do on social media ? I have noticed not many of our players really use it - Twitter anyway so maybe it’s not encouraged? Guess we will tomorrow- if he isn’t in the squad then question will be asked . To give him some support he is probably alone in a new country unable to see family and friends so uses social media to interact and show what he has been up to.
True and let's be honest the club themselves like to use social media for their club content. I haven't heard or seen anything controversial on his social media channels whereas I am sure Foster putting teams in the bottom 3 for a prediction will only rile them up!
Absolutely. He was all over TikTok and popped up with a lovely Twitter Fleet just after half time. Loves the socials does old Dennis.
In the Rookery, I, along with the people next to me, were surprised to hear it was Dennis who scored because we'd seen him win the ball near the halfway line not long before! Just like what I've said about Etebo, I think Dennis wants to be here playing in the Premier League whereas he didn't want to be at his previous club, so yeah, I think we have a player on our hands!
Yes. And much as Cleverley gets some stick on here, it was notable just how much he was communicating with Dennis throughout. From encouraging him to close down opponents and hold his position and generally not rest or relax. Sometimes easy to forget that footballers can have a big influence on the team and their teammates beyond what they do with the ball.
On Sky they had him listed as Bonaventure on the team sheet, I actually thought we must have signed someone in secret and had kept him under wraps
I thought his link up play was superb. He gave it away a couple of times but made up for it with some brilliant flicks showing great awareness of his surroundings. For a small guy he's quite strong as well.
