Game has the air of a pre-season friendly with us resting our best players then making further changes to sub on two absolute chumps That being said, we’ve done ok considering the standard of the team we’ve ended up with out there
Brentford must be pretty bad to not be beating this team of rejects at half time, no chance in the playoffs I wouldn't bet on this starting line up against a L1 team in the cup Bachmann Cathcart Sierralta Kabasele Masina Success Hughes Gosling Zinckernagel Gray Sema 50/50 Muff Barnsley for me Jeff
I cannot get enough of their forum at the moment, they genuinely hate us! They're chuffed with that first half against a Watford hungover XI.
Do they really hate us?! I know we’ve created some silly rivalries recently but I can’t remember any bad blood or controversy involving Brentford Is it just because we took ‘their’ promotion place? Not our fault they bottle it every year
Very, very disappointing. The assumption that Norwich will win the league is no reason to put out our 'stiffs'. Ok, l know the equations. Just highlight the glaring weakness of our squad. Could end 4 or 5 - 0 given how we are playing.
Good job we won enough games when it mattered! They will be kicking themselves for probably finishing a point or so behind us . The 6/7 draws in a row Brentford had is going to cost them.
This game + next week are just a waste of time if we’re gonna play our ‘league cup’ team. I lost 90% of my interest in this game as soon as Hungbo went off The ones who are good enough don’t look bothered and the ones who do look bothered should be nowhere near the starting XI - i’d rather we give more of the young kids a chance, rather than players like Gray, Success, Zincernagel etc. Who are never gonna cut it in the Prem
It's a good thing for Giaretta to see how poor the squad players are. I think we all know that 5-6 of these players need shipping.
Would like to see us bid £15m+Gray for that Toney player, he might be able to make the step-up to the premier league and Gray knows the championship with Brentford
Gray and Success. No one can say they have not been given chances this season. Just not good enough - would do better dropping down a league or two to see if they can regain a bit of confidence
It appears to be all academic now. We are up, but the squad is ultra weak. I guess it doesn't matter any more.
Sema is so far off Premier League standard. I'd honestly put him in the same group of players that we should be moving on such as Gray and Success. Instead we've given him a long contract.
Yeah it has been extremely boring hasn't it? I am going out next week for a few drinks and will potentially have the game on in the background at least a few drinks will make it bearable to watch. Agreed I think there are a few today that have been given a chance and have proven why they should be nowhere near our Premier League side next season.
I totally understand and support the decision to rest our best players like Sarr, Pedro, Chalobah - I just wish they were a little more creative with their choices on who to replace them with With the exception of Hungbo, the squad players who came in today are the ones we already know aren’t good enough, even in this league, let alone the Prem. Why not give some lads like Cukur and Pochettino a run out, rather than forcing us to sit through yet another Gray and Success disasterclass
Might as well played a few more kids rather than Gray and Success I agree. Shame Hungbo went off as he started well then we lose the the main motivator in Cleverley.
Fair play to Brentford, they put out a strong team with the aim of winning the game. We rested our best players, and gave some fringe members some game time. We are clearly well and truly on the beach, and it’s deserved so no complaints from me. Brentford fans will be wondering what could have been if they hadn’t drawn all those games but that’s life. We are up, they are in the playoffs and I wish them all the best.
No neither would I to be honest. I think it's just a case of Xisco goving everyone a run out at this stage. I forgot we still had Perica.
While I agree about Gray and Success given they have been given opportunities in both leagues, I think it’s far too soon to write off Zinckernagel. Sure, he’s a bit of a luxury player but he’s got a number of assists in his few months and certain players fit certain leagues. He’s comfortable on the ball and I think the PL will suit him far more than the Championship as well.
Ah poor Bees fans another season in the Chump. Played half paced and half arsed with five first teamers missing and still only lost to falling asleep just after the break and Toney the ***** diving over. Come on Barnsleh. We are PL Bottleford are not.
