Scum proving small time again in not watering the pitch. Nonetheless inexcusable lack of effort, a complete lack of calm on the ball and so sloppy gifting the ball away time and time again. Poor discipline allowing the useless referee to gift the scum free kick after free kick. Some players shine by their absences. Chalobah and Masina were badly missed. Lazaar should never play again. What was he thinking the idiot ? Hard to blame the likes of Sarr given the lack of ball he had and Sema. Pedro needs to calm himself down at times. Sierralta is the only one who put in an effort and performance that has nothing to be ashamed of. Promotion is far from over. But looking at the results today what a chance spurned. However there needs to be a great deal of soul searching among the squad and focus on doing the basics right. The fluency is not there that was there before the break. They need to discover it fast. Harsh to withdraw Sanchez as well he also played well with Sierralta. Hughes was off colour. We allowed the scum to dominate from the start and instead of dealing with the ball calmly allowed them to maintain a grip. It took a dozen minutes to venture into their half reminiscent of performances under Ivic. And we strung just one crisp move in the first half and a couple in the second. A huge kick in the pants is needed. Let us hope Chalobah and Masina are back for the next match as they are sorely missed. Ngakia can cover for Kiko more than adequately. Dreadful result but one that needs to be put aside and convert the players mindset to gear up for a four game sprint. They need to relax mentally a little and reminded they are still in pole position. Not to mention shown how they were playing before the break.
Really don't understand the Success experiment, he's been a complete disaster the moment he walked into this club. The only logic is the club are pushing for him to play to justify the costly price tag. But his value goes down each minute he plays.

Well I doubt anyone's going to read this as the thread will no doubt descend into meltdown. Nevertheless, here's my two cents... Luton deserved winners. Outplayed us over 90 mins, got their game plan spot on and wanted it more Very, very disappointing performance. Why did it take us 85 minutes to burst into life? Hugely unlucky to have Masina withdraw from the squad just before KO. As soon as I saw the late change, I had a bad feeling Lazaar should never play for this club again. A shockingly bad back pass. The fault lies with him and not Bachmann Very, VERY fortunate for us that Brentford and Swansea only drew Getting automatics is still in our hands, but our job has been made a lot harder by today’s loss. Winning today would have been huge psychologically. Now we’re going into a very difficult run-in on the back of a poor defeat. I believe we can still do it though Serious players need to be asked of the players today. Why weren’t they up for the derby? A gutless performance really JP needs a long break

We've been utterly 5h1t since the restart (or since Troy getting himself involved again, however you wish to count it). We've been sluggish, sloppy and lacking in any cohesiveness, intensity and determination (except for the last 10 mins of this game). Shouldn't some of our lot have had a rest over the break? And what did Sweden do to Sema while he was away, give him covid?! Bachmann has been generally excellent, but why on Earth did he not pull out of that tackle for the penalty? So unnecessary, the striker was going nowhere. It was Hughes' birthday today - had he been on the booze already last night? His worst game in a Watford shirt, which is saying something. Only Sierralta maintained his level. JP and Zinc were completely powder puff and ineffective yet again. We need to shake things up asap. If we don't managed to fluke our away over the line to an automatic spot, surely based on how we've been performing lately there's no chance we're winning the playoffs.
Difficult to think of how that could have gone worse in the end. Disjointed, poor performance, unnecessary red card, stupid mistake of a penalty and a legit goal ruled out. Felt a bit like the Poleon game in Zola's first season in the end, including the late withdrawal of a first teamer and his last minute replacement being involved in a key moment. Frustrating all round. Hopefully this will be a wake up call. Norwich just got promoted, so hopefully they'll have a hangover on Tuesday.
What a terrible game. The only positive is that none of us were there to see it. And Swans and Bees only picked up 1 point.

We've been dreadful for the last 4 games for the main part and it was only a matter of time before the results matched the performances. For what its worth, I still think we will go up - but I think it'll be more owing to those behind us not doing enough as opposed to us making sure ourselves. And if/when we go up, there can be no doubt that Xisco will get found out tactically on a regular basis at the highest level. His in-game management is simply nowhere near good enough.
A dreadful insipid performance. Maybe JP and Sierrialta came out with credit. So many basic errors. Simple passes going astray. Idiotic free kicks given away. Kiko absolutely brainless red card. And Pozzo reaps what he sows with his awful bargain bin recruitment in Lazar. Other results very positive, but hard to imagine we will put in a big performance away to Norwich. If Kiko is suspended and Masina still unwell then could be the awful Navarro and Lazar at fullbacks! Where is Ngakia by the way?

Better team won. We didnt turn up. Xisco shouldve had Gray on 2nd half not Success imo. Neither are starters of course but we needed a goal from somewhere after the break.

Team were cack, £10 for that camera angle, hate not being there, mooneys commentary was as bad as our play but it could have been a lot worse with the other results we will go up because of other teams failure to capitalise on our bad patch
Not something I wanted to be right about but I said the one thing that still makes it a derby is the managers motivation to get a result out of the game. Luton are a mid table team so are naturally inconsistent, but they are capable of doing what they did today if they’re set up and motivated to do it, which they were. On the other hand absolutely shameful from us, it was a derby, but as importantly a win would’ve nearly promoted us with the other results, now we’ve got to play the three best teams in the league and we’re playing like absolute dog ****. Well done Watford.
Awful game. Worst performance of the season. Bailed out somewhat by Brentford and Swansea's results. But we desperately need to get going again asap.
Xisco, Zinckernagel, Sema, Lazaar, Hughes, Kiko, Success, Hungbo all really poor. Probably more that I forgot about. Got away with it to a degree with Brentford and Swansea's results, but need minimum 3 points from the next 2.
Please calm down. But for a stupid back pass from Briggs 2.0, we draw. It was one of those days. That pitch was a joke and was clearly deliberate. What would you expect from Tommy Robinson's club. Just be thankful that Millwall and Wycombe have done us a huge favour. Hopefully Chalobah and Masina back with Cleverley on Tuesday with Norwich still hungover after a well deserved party. Trust me Brentford and Swansea will feel worse than we do right now.
For all the players we already knew were ****, being **** is no surprise (Lazaar, Success etc). Will Hughes really pissed me off today.
Christ, that quite possibly the worst game we've played all Season, including the Wycombe draw under Ivic. We deserved nothing from that and got nothing and fortunately got away with only losing a point on both Swansea and Brentford. Femenia had his first bad game of the Season and the second yellow card was as bad as Lazaar's backpass which left Bachmann with no choice but to challenge it. The pitch I think didn't help us today; we struggled to judge a basic pass with an inconsistent bobble but that doesn't excuse our lack of urgency or ability to pressure higher up which Luton did with aplomb. Anyone who thought this would be a straightforward fixture was deluded. I think we'll do a lot better v Noriwch. For one, their promotion will kill the same level of drive they had beforehand, but more importantly and tangibly their pitch and style of play will give us space to run in behind. Put this one behind us, never play Lazaar again and we'll see the remaing games through.
We have been playing within ourselves recently. There does seem to be fear in the players when it is the time to be positive and take the attack to teams. We were negative today and it took going a goal down to spark us into life. It seemed we were more intent on trying to preserve a draw than go out for a win. That is not the right mindset. Might have to go to a back three if Masina or Ngakia are not available next week.
Terrible match really. Legitimate goal disallowed. Kiko getting an idiotic second yellow, although his first card wasn’t even a foul. Pitch awful. Ref awful. The game was scrappy and was likely to be won by a mistake or a bad bounce, but to gift them a goal like that was abysmal. We were sluggish across the pitch. I thought we would come alive second half and we looked to start building some momentum, then the ref gave about three or four nothing fouls against us in a row and we lost all impetus. One to forget. The only bright spark is that Brentford and Swansea look as bad, if not worse, than us so I think we’ll have enough.
Bottlers. A complete **** show of a performance. They should be embarrassed. Not one player on that pitch showed any guts or willingness. I'll leave it at that apart from echoing wfcSinatra's note of congratulating Norwich.
An absolutely abysmal performance. Starting Lazaar set the tone. As good as we have been this season, it has shown that, if we are promoted, we need much better quality. Completely off the pace and no passion. Dreadful day. Even Hughes was poor. I do not wish any individual misfortune, but I sincerely hope Lazaar never makes a Watford squad again.
Oh don't worry we've got Ngakia to come in. Oh hang on, he wasn't in the squad today so must be injured. Don't worry, we've got Navarro to come in. Navarro and Lazar full backs for Tuesday it is!
It's not result that was the most disappointing thing. It was the total lack of composure and control that our players showed. Luton were by far the better team and deserved to win. If we play like that in the next 4 games then we will not get 2nd. Poor results for Brentford and Swansea are the only positives today.
