Perhaps we can have a Mooney phrase book,

He’s gone down like a packet of biscuits there
That shot was a pile of soup (lazar)
    ...?

I was already expecting a loss here, now that XM has won MOM I think something will also happen that results in us being deducted 3 points.

Red card for Hughes for looking aghast at the ref too often, and injury to Sarr for being kicked yet again, Bachman to throw the ball into the face of their forward, and then bring him down trying to retrieve the siuatuon, red card penalty and lose 1-0.

There's a Barking FC founded the year before us and used to play at Vicarage field

How about Berming ham - covering or protecting ham with a berm.

Gilling ham though how ham can have gills is hard to work out

I saw him destroy Watford once, at Elm Park in the mid ‘70s. It was my first away game. 0-3.

    We're playing Reading
    This Friday night,
    Last time we played them
    We got quite a fright.

    TDB got injured
And we took our first L,
    A repeat of that happening
    Would be footballing hell.

    Reading this season
    Seem to be quite good,
    Qualify for the play offs?
    It's possible they could.

    Watford's performance
    Needs to improve,
I hope we can get Pedro
    Back into his groove.

    But results are what matter
At this stage of the season,
    It's vital we get one
    By any rhyme or reason.

    A draw against Reading
    Would be a bust,
    Cos make no mistake:
    A win is a must.

    Lose tonight's game
And we'll be in quite a big hole.
    Prediction: Watford 0, Reading 1;
    Deeney (own goal)

Some killer acts there, probably more adventurous than the list of those who played at Glastonbury that year.

Interesting to know what Radiohead played - The Bends from 1995 was when they became great. Were they already playing songs from that album, or still ones from the Pablo Honey era?

Great line up. The only one I can remember from that year is Cypress Hill. God knows what I was doing the rest of the time! I do remember swiping a bottle of port from my parents' drinks cabinet on the morning of the festival.

Any Royals fan would be outraged by that. They're proud to be authentic gerunds and despise the present participle, which they regard as being 'effette' and 'pompous'.

We aren't great against good teams. Reading have a lot of quality, Olise, Richards, Ejara, Joao would all walk into our 11. Will be tough but if we are serious about automatics this is the kind of game we need to be winning at home. Will be twitchy, very important we don't concede first.

And for the love of god, lets hope Troost Ekong has been working on his passing out!

I was having a beer at the ULU student bar in London in January 1993. A band started playing while we were there. They were pretty good, they were called Radiohead.

Oh it was soooooo good. Common People for the first time. Radiohead playing new songs from The Bends plus The Manics blowing everyone away with songs from the Holy Bible. Crikey even Terrorvision were alright! Best festival day ever.

Reading 95 was pretty good too. Never went again after seeing The Stone Roses in 96. That was tragic

Point tonight wouldn't be the worst result. That + wins at Luton and Millwall would probably be very close to enough

    I agree.
I would say a defeat would be the worst result. Perhaps controversially, I would claim that a win would be the best result.

We will also be hit with a transfer embargo and forced to give 5 year Contracts to Deeney and Gray.

Would those players walk into our team? Richards sure, their Joao is better than ours for now, although I think JP has the potential to be much better. Ejaria and Olise are harder to compare as they've been used in various roles this season, they are both a similar standard to our players in those positions (although I do accept that they both have greater ceilings)

Will be another test of how far we've come, I think we've only had Bournemouth of the promotion-chasers since the change in formation, and that didn't end well (granted, on paper Bournemouth should be right up there, and they massively caught us out with their *********ry which I'm not sure Reading will do)
