When they heard that our next match was Reading,
    The bedwetters needed new bedding.
Still, 6 wins and a draw,
    Shows Xisco's no bore,
And the COGs were right, where our club was heading

This season we're both doing well,
    Despite Ivic's footballing hell.
    We're sitting pretty in second,
    Automatics I still reckon,
    I'm a Cog, if you couldn't tell.

The Royals play in blue and white stripes,
With them, we have next-to-no gripes.
    Only 36k away,
We've won more times when we've played,
    For those stats-loving types.

Their topscorer is called called Lucas Joao.
    Don't bother asking me how.
    He's got nothing on Pedro,
Has 9 more league goals, though,
    Plus three, in the Carabao.

    Now for the crucial part,
    Reading's architecture and art.
    Generally pretty boring,
    Mostly modern and Victorian,
Although their ninth century abbey has heart.

To the match, then I'll say no more.
2-0 Watford, I predict the score.
    Pedro and Chalobah goals
    To silence bedwetters and trolls,
Three more points for our Premier League tour.

    Your poetry was top draw.
As Edgar Allen Poe once wrote - I will love it forever more.
Sentences typed in good stead, meaning an worthy of being read.
Humor at satire full with flair, a simple poet I do dare to care.
Lord Byron would be pleased of this work, taking heart and rejoicing, never a smirk.
For the game I will just say, we can win this, Watford FC Forums shout Horray.

3-0 my prediction and let's never feel sore.
I feel in my heart this amount we will score.

    Roses are red
    Violets are blue
    It’s how Reading will feel
When we beat them by two.

    I thank you..

Can’t be complacent and think we can sleepwalk to automatics.
Some urgency required and early substitutions to mix it up if it isn’t working.
Looking for a much higher tempo to our play on Friday.

Come on Watford, we can’t afford to go all Watfordy at the final hurdle.

As I said on another thread, from what I know and from speaking to Reading fans I know they'd be delighted with a point and are very capable of playing for one. My mate said expect 11 men behind the ball and fast counter attacks. Could be a real struggle I think. Hopefully we can score another early goal.

I do worry about Xisco in games like this, he doesn't have the nous to change games during play.

A win in this game is so important. Will be a really tough game and we haven't really looked a threat going forward in the last 2 games. Players seem to have lost their mojo and incisiveness. Fear a narrow defeat with Reading fighting like tigers to keep their place in the POs.
It's a while since we've failed to score.
    0-1.

    All going well so far,
In a season not ruined by VAR,
How the end will be heading,
Could be determined by a result against Reading,
    And a hattrick from Sarr.

I’d like to see Cleverley back in the side for his energy, and perhaps Zinc on the left side of the attack.

    Weeds are annoying,
    They always make me frown,
If we lose to Reading Friday,
This site will go full meltdown.

    But roses are quite sweet,
    They always are a hit,
    We'll beat Reading on Friday,
If Stuboy goes for a s*/+.

    **** you, Reading.

It’s time to get out of the play-offs, Reading.

What were you even doing there in the first place, Reading?

You didn’t even do it in line with FFP, Reading.

    Are you happy now, Reading?

    **** you, Reading.

There was a young man from Nantucket,
Whose c0 ck was so long he could suck it.

He said with a grin, while wiping his chin,
If my ear was a c**t, I could f**k it.

OK. Sorry. I was just leaving anyway

2-1 to the Hornets. Success brace

The first time this season we went to Berks
We lived up to the name
And came away from the ground feeling berks
A player got injured, Tom De-Bush
    the crowd went hush!
We owe them a thrashing and one of those special nights
We have to make sure the points are ours under the lights

I know not very good but the best I could muster!
Without myself getting in a fluster!

This game is beginning to look like being what could be a very pivotal game in our quest for automatic promotion as if they beat us Reading will be putting themselves in the automatic promotion picture all be it an outside chance.

This is simply a do not lose.

Don’t get me wrong a win would be ******* brilliant, but a draw is a good result in its own right and sets up nicely for a win at Luton.

A loss would be psychologically damaging and would effectively bring four teams into the mix who could technically catch us, heaping more pressure on our run in.

Loveliest of grounds is Vicarage Road
With allotments proud or so I'm told
    I haven't been for past a year
If we win this game,I'll be in tears.
    Apologies to AE Housman.
Ensanguining the skies, how heavily it dies
Into the west away,we must put Reading away.
    And again apologies great man.

If Reading win they would be 10 points behind with 5 games to play. If they can overcome that then I doubt we would finish as high as 3rd.

    An Ode to Gino:

He appointed a novice called Xisco,
We thought he was taking the pisco,
But if we can beat the Royals,
And lance the second tier boil,
We're back in the Premier League disco.

Need to up the tempo when in possession. Do this early and get a grip on the game. Play like the last 2 games and I think reading get a result.

As others have said we need to play our game, at high tempo and go at them. Score early and don't let up.

Genuinely believe if we do win this then we are probably 3 points from sealing it, which we will almost inevitably get more than anyway. I just do not see Brentford suddenly picking up 15 points from 7 games.

He hasn't had many chances to, to be fair. We've only been losing under him for about 50 minutes total!

But I agree his subs in tight games haven't always come off.

Good news, i have hijacked the starlink satelites and spread malware via them to take over all bitcoin mining devices to temporarily use them to assess the watford v reading game. The out ome is that if Watford should win, its good. If Watford should draw its ok-ish, and if they should lose its bad.

i shall release the devices and give Elon back his natty satellites shortly.
