In his absence, Quina has done quite well on the left wing, but we very much could do with King Ken back, insane service from the left...
Watford FC site said they'd miss Bristol, Preston and Forest. So they should be back for Cardiff. Please, please, please be back for Cardiff.
Observer reported that Ivic said they'd miss Cardiff too: https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/n...s-three-games-positive-covid-19-tests/?ref=ar
Today's report in that rag suggest they could be back today. It was the same guy who wrote both reports. Every reporter at that paper has a single digit IQ.
I would guess it's either covid-related or he's picked up a knock. No comms from the club though, so who knows?
True. Let's hope he's back soon. Hughes isn't at his best on the left and Pumpernickel doesn't seem to be trusted to start yet.
If he's had covid previously but recently got pinged by the contact tracing app, I would assume he still has to self-isolate?
Track and Trace? More likely to have been Trick or Treat, what an absolute waste of millions/billions but apologies I'm off topic. Whatever the reason a speedy recovery Cuddly.
One of the few bright sparks from today, hope to **** he's available to start at the weekend, we've really missed him
Agreed, he was virtually the sum total of our threat when he came. I like Ken but it always seems a little strange to me that he doesn't actually seem that quick but regularly beats his man with ease and gets to the byline, not sure if he has some sort of body movement that fools defenders that I can't see or if he just protects the ball well when running with it and is strong enough not be knocked of it? Either way he's been great this season.
He seems to be able to do what the defender isn't expecting, get him on the wrong foot or off-balance, then nip past him. He's also very positive, it's rare to see him make a backward or sideways pass. His delivery doesn't always find its target, but he does at least look up & try to pick someone out rather than just hit & hope. Seeing him play now make me wish we'd kept him around last season. Might've made a difference.
This is what happens when you have too much time on your hands. https://twitter.com/i/status/1361586361497579523
He seems like a perfect player for us. Just gets his head down and gets on with it. By all accounts a very likeable fella too. Pleased for him that he got a couple of goals that will help him and us for the rest of the season. Same again tonight please King Ken.
Yes, he is a perfect watford fans favourite. Runs around a lot, smiles, gives a good interview and has appalling football technique.
He is everything Andre Gray is not. He's Bruce Willis to Samuel L Jacksons Unbreakable. He's a Five Guys to a floppy Big Mac. What's not to like?
Despite the goal he looked a bit off the pace but that didn't stop him trying. That's what you want to see.
Sema is a great fan's favourite and it's easy to see why. He tries and tries and always with a smile. He's a big powerful chap with a decent degree of skill, but he is limited as a player. If we go up, then I suspect he'll be surplus to requirements again. Although he'll always be remembered fondly at Watford when the time comes and he decides to move on.
I think I only saw one game with him in the starting line-up during the 2018-19 season, which was Burnley, a dreadful match. Basically, what were the problems with him in the top flight? Not creative enough, poor passing and/or positional sense, or both? Because down here he's shown he has pace and is a good dribbler with some end product to complement that, but he's not great at shooting or crossing and I suppose those weaknesses would have been exposed in the Prem when you are playing against smarter and quicker players and you don't have so many opportunities to run past them. It's also interesting to note that during his run of games the team were in a pretty patchy run of form performance-wise, although not bad in terms of results, and they got better once he was dropped from the starting line-up, but that may be purely coincidental.
Made less than 10 starts for a team in patchy form, in his first season outside of Sweden. No surprise he wasn't able to get up a run of form. Since then has looked decent in Serie A, and a POTS contender for us in the Championship. He may be good enough for the step up next season if we get promoted, he may not. I think he's earned the chance to prove himself though.
Deserves it. Largely excellent this season and will be important if we stay down, and a decent squad player if we go up
One of the highest earners at the club? Seriously? If we go up he won’t even be part of the squad, just like last time.
Who would be our third highest earner after the two strikers and how much would he be on? Reckon it's a big gap
