Whatever our team looks like next season (Sarr and Hughes are straight out the door the minute our season Finishes, Deeney and Gray we're stuck with, **** knows who else stays or goes), I'm certainly not expecting anything!
True and l agree. Rumours were that he was been given two games to save his job. One down/one to go. My guess is that Pozzo/Duxbury feel that the Championship is dogshit and we can still gain promotion with the crap group of players we have. Xisco could be gone by Monday, you can't tell with our Chairman.
Walking sums it up. We have adopted walking football. Never have I looked forward to a cup of tea more! I may even have a bakewell tart too.
Wow, did he really say that? Improvement on what exactly? That was our worst performance of the season, which takes some doing.
I don't know Big Sexy, I feel the target is on the coach unashamedly missing who appoints him. Work to do.
Yeah, a quick sacking of Munoz, change to the starting 11 and we will see people having hope again. We cannot allow this to happen.
If we by some miracle go up in the near future, we're going straight back down. 7th/21st, there's not really much difference is there, can we just rip everything up and try and play some good football for a change?
What are you talking about? Chalobah has played almost every game this season. He's not our worst player but 100% a part of the problem
Where have I disagreed with that?! But you’re arguing for something that cannot happen between today, tomorrow or next week. I think the vast majority of us want it. But we could have the best owner in the world - we still shouldn’t have this guy in charge, my argument is as simple as that. Factually, we are 4th. Think we all agree that’s lucky and we all agree we are very unlikely to stay there. But it’s not a certainty - getting a different coach in will give us the best chance we currently have available to maintain that. If we were to go up and come back down...good! We need the money! That shouldn’t be overlooked.
You saw the exciting, progressive part of our display. The previous 75 minutes was so bad it’s hard to believe any professional footballers could have served it up, let alone many who were playing in top divisions last season.
Wow, I didn’t know we were that close. And that’s after the fine form of Brentford, Swansea and Norwich (until recently), all our poor performances even before those games and numerous points dropped in winnable matches...
So that was an improvement? The problem is that the players aren't really trying because they don't believe in the coach.
Wasn't far off the first game really, was it? I know you can't go spunking mega money on players, but how is Biamou a Championship player? Not gonna give you too much credit for this game as we're awful, but I do think you'll just about be OK
Xisco needs to go sit in the stands for a bit and see how his players don't take up space in front of them when they have the ball or move into space to receive the ball. How any ex-winger could think Sarr's imitation of the role today merited 95 minutes baffles me.
Danny Cowley and Paul Cook can see what's wrong. Get either of them in and we'd have a better chance of going up. I genuinely think Xisco has less ability to analyse and read a game than most of the people on here.
The match commentators said that Muñoz also played 4-4-2 most of the time when he was at Tbilisi, although he had experimented with 3-5-2 in training with Watford during the past week. Danny Cowley was scathing in his comments about the tactics: at half-time he said that the two wingers were playing too high up and that the two central midfielders were being over-loaded. He said that Watford were playing as individuals rather than as a team at the end of the game. Paul Cook was more restrained in his comments, but he believed that Watford have some very talented players and there was always a possibility that one of them might produce a moment of quality. Don Goodman mentioned that Watford lacked intensity (unlike Coventry) at the start of the game despite the remarks by Muñoz after the Q.P.R result and he suggested that Watford played too many hopeful long balls. All the television commentators and analysts appeared to agree that Watford will not be automatically promoted if they continue to play in the same manner and that they are unlikely to be promoted even if they reach the play-offs.
Lessons were learnt after relegation, we were told. Guess there are still more lessons in the curriculum.
Played well mate. Much like us you need a goal scorer. You’ll definitely play us next season as you won’t go down and we won’t go up
