Good news! It's Glenn's birthday today. Hopefully his telegram from the Queen arrived safely and he's currently surrounded by various generations of the Murray family for some sort of socially-distanced get together.
I have to admit that so far GM has been quite frankly ****, but lets hope he comes off the bench tomorrow and scores a hat-trick to prove us all wrong. If he does that he can be **** for the rest of the season and still be a Watford hero for evermore.
if Pereyra goes , will Murray be given his shirt number , its quite common for old blokes to have their age on the back of their shirt.
Agreed he's been hopeless so far. We look better without him at the moment. An option from the bench is all I can Invision at the moment.
I'm sure the club acted in haste when they signed him. They clearly didn't do any homework on his current ability, with only a superficial knowledge that he scored some goals in the Premier League for Brighton. I think his legs are gone. It's a damning statement of the recruitment team. They thought both Deeney and Welbeck were 100% going, so they panicked and got someone in who seemed decent on the surface. Perica was another to come in, although he looks likely to be far more able to cause problems in the Championship. However, if we do end up keeping Deeney and Welbeck because we cannot move them on, then I doubt either signing would have been made. Clearly, from what we've seen, Murray is not needed. I wonder if they can cancel the loan, although I suspect we'll be lumbered with him for the year. Another great piece of business by the club.
Yup I was effin horrified when we signed him initially. Then I tried to throw a positive spin on him but I've quickly reverted back to horrified on his performances thus far.
Clearly Vlad doesn’t rate GM or think he’s fit enough - otherwise he would’ve given him more than 6 minutes when chasing the game and crying out for a big target man.
I’m afraid to say, but you’ve been hooked by the ol’ double whoosh mate. I knew Nath was being sarcastic. Nath knew I was being sarcastic. Thus, in your thinking that it was I who was whooshed, you unfortunately set yourself up for an almighty whooshing. Unless of course, you knew it all along and you’ve hooked me in the midst of a triple whoosh. Well played, old chap. **** sakes.
Is this the reverse-reverse whoosh, or are you being actually being serious? TVOR has absolutely mind-****ed me here.
Here he is, at home training to get into tip-top shape, ready to tear-up the Championship. Make no mistake he'll be skipping past defenders in no time.
He's a good player. I think we will be pinning hopes on Suarez but remember we are in the championship and we now have a proven goalscorer on the bench. Could be much worse, we wanted a proven finisher and now we have one...what's the problem!?
Nothing against him as a player but why was he signed on a season long loan when he was so blatantly unfit and so off-the-pace to make himself virtually unselectable? Probably because he was available and cheaper than most other forward options.
At least Ivic realised very quickly that he just wasn't up to it. Now he just needs to figure it out regarding Troy.
Trouble is that leads us with one striker who in his appearances has the positive of a goal but also got injured, been sent off and booked. Unless we count Pedro as one. Honest question - what update has there been on Success? I mean he could have been useful in a lower league...
So was it ever confirmed that it was Murray who had Covid? I remember banging the drum (well, patting it at least!) for him to start against Barnsley when we had no other strikers, but surely it has to be Perica now
Seagulls eh. Judging by his screeching and flapping of arms yesterday, Troy could be his first guest.
