I did love the outrage from Moyes about West Ham’s equaliser being ruled out for hand ball last week. I reckon under the old rules that would have been handball if the ref saw it. Some of them where it just barely touches a players arm seem harsh - but when it completely sets up the goal or attacking move I don’t see the cause for complaint.

The continual "...just a slight handball..." and "...he was just slightly offside..." really irritates me...

I’m talking about the handballs where the ball didn’t even move it’s line, and over 20 replays you cannot tell if it was handballed or not. There have been a couple of those.

I never did any training in Primary or Secondary school but figured I have a knack getting a limb in the way of the ball when playing 5-a-side. I literally can't generate height in a kick or pass it accurately when you go to ~10 yards or further though.

    Feel sorry for Bournemouth fans.
Very poorly run club. unforgivable that they have wasted tens of millions of Premier League cash.
Brentford have built a brand new stadium in West London for the price of Lerma, Ibe and Solanke.

    10 losses in 12 games.

Looking at their remaining games. Their last six games they play, Man Utd (A) Spurs (H), Leicester (H), Man City (A), Saints (H) and Everton (A). On paper can’t see them picking up many points there.

I didn't realise until last week that one of the stands there is temporary as well. If they do go down, as looks likely, they really are dropping out with nothing to show for it. The Michael Carroll of the Premier League.

Maybe they'll activate the recall clause and bring back creaky old has-been Jermaine Defoe from his loan spell.

Yes, he's still on Muff's books and presumably still drawing his £70k a week to supplement his state pension. Another wonderful signing he was.

Personally speaking I still think Muff will turn it around.

I'm going for Norwich, Villa & I think one of either Burnley or Brighton will get sucked in within the next month.

Should we nip in for Ake on the cheap in their relegation fire sale?

Decent enough to be a squad player for us.

Good idea. I think we have a loan back clause from when he was with us before.

Ake will be on the radar of the top 6. Spurs defence is getting on a bit. Arsenal need defenders, even Liverpool might consider pairing him up with Van Dyke who is his international team mate.

And the rest. He's rumoured to be on over £100k a week. The inflated salary reflects the free transfer. Another Saint Eddie signing.

Of all of the teams staring relegation in the face Bournemouth are the one that if they go down will have the biggest problems! They have given out high paying contacts to lower value players which they will a have struggle to shift!
Together with an extremely small stadium leading to division one attendances I really feel for their future!

I have some sympathy for their fans as (like all fans) they have no say in how ‘their’ club is run.
When they were knocking on the door of oblivion before, it was them who were rattling the buckets desperately trying to keep ‘their’ club alive.
The fact that the club hasn't seemingly learnt lessons from its history is sad (noting change of ownership and chairmanship over the years) and when you look at it, what are the assets and legacy from the tv money?..no ground, no training facility. I’d be fuming if I was them.

The Stadium is not owned by AFC Bournemouth. The owners are not interested in selling the stadium. The temporary stand was going to be increased in size, but the board voted against it. The away fans are not seated in that stand behind the goal, this was the idea. It was Eddie Howe who said no to that idea, though FA Cup games are different.
The surrounding tarmac area, not the car parks, is owned by AFC Bournemouth. The training area is owned by Bournemouth Council.
It extremely doubtful that a new Stadium will be built on the site of Kings Park Athletic Stadium. The Athletic club are dead against this and carry a lot of influence at the Council. The 'state of art' training ground to be built on the site of Canford Magna Golf Course is just a pipe dream.

Muff have the next 4 games to have a chance of saving their season. After those 4 games they would have already played all of the bottom teams.

7 points from their next 4 and they may have a chance. If not they are down with the Norwich.

Then its between us, Villa, Spam, Burnley and Brighton. Possibly Newcastle if they implode , which isnt out of the question.

But if Chelsea don't take up that offer I suppose others could get him for less - if Muff need to sell.

I would rather they play the top teams earlier. At the end of the season those who've achieved their objective and those who've given up hope of doing do may have lost a bit of intensity.

I think Muff will turn it around, it's a confidence issue, they just need a win. I think they will do that against Brighton at home on Tuesday & pull them into the mix.

This season is so tight though. Outside of Liverpool running away with the league, as well as Leicester and Man City basically nailed on for a top 4 spot. From 4th through 9th, everyone is fighting. Newcastle in 12th are only 5 points away from a European spot. It’s been like that all season. So normally those teams don’t have much to fight for come the end, but this season they will.

Fans of other teams have noted Muff's ridiculous spending for years, as well as their FFP non-compliance when in the Football League.

During that time, no Bournemouth fans have been complaining, and labeled fans from other teams who passed comment on Bournemouth's spending as "jealous" or other similarly dismissive comments.

They don't deserve any sympathy because they haven't been questioning anything the club has done, yet the facts were out there because other fans saw it.

It's one thing if you protest the club but can't get anything done (see: Blackpool fans v the Oystons), but another entirely if you're complicit like the Muff fans have been.
