Who was it on here I was arguing with about Lampard and how Derby overperformed xG and was due a big reversion to the mean? ;)

    Wrighty saves MOTD.

A genuine fellow in full head furrow when discussing us.

Hilarious when the crisp salesman announced Sheffield Wednesday’s return to the Prem.

Lazy as a player & nowt has changed.

Has anyone seen the VAR decision in our favour today?

Load of old ******** thanks to a handball rule created to help justify and simplify VAR’s existence.

Guess they want to say handball is handball but did appear to be harsh ..

Going to have to be consistent on that ruling ..

Good of you to say. You are right & it is worrying.

Wolves manager got it right when he said its not good for the game that the apposing fans cheer to a no goal. Feels like our beautiful game has finally become Americanised.

Sorry to bring it up but the things that happen in football that are genuinely awesome, like us winning the league can only happen when players play at the very limit of what is acceptable in the laws of the game. Vardy breaking the offside trap, Okazaki diving, Huth assaulting people... it all added up to something that was well... fun.

All I can think about is seeing the ball fly into the back of the net, nothing seemingly out of order, a frankly orgasmic experience... the very reason you go to the football and then sitting on your hands. Because you’ve been done by VAR in the past and you know what’s coming. I wouldn’t have felt any different about our game today had Wolves’s goal stood. We wormed out of a defeat thanks to the handball rule being simplified to accommodate VAR. All I can think about is being on the other end of it, which we will be because it’s here to stay, sadly. Today’s experience feels as formative to me as seeing Muzzy Izzet smash home a penalty for the first time.

I couldn’t even muster the enthusiasm to get out of my seat and take the piss out of Wolves today.

Had completely forgotten about the legend that was Muzzy Izzett. What ever came of him?

Came down to div 1 with us in 2002, took us back up and finally skanked us in 2004 for Birmingham but only managed a few games before his knee exploded. Amazing player, great backstory, my first love.

Mrs Willis and I still refer to the sort of indistinct headache you get in overcast low pressure conditions as a ‘Muzzy Izzet’. He often caused us a few headaches on the pitch too.

I like those players once they’re retired, you look back and think ‘the little bastards, they always did us in’

I’m the same with Heidar Helguson!

They’re certainly messing with the trigger.

Imagine if HoggDEENEY had been sent upstairs to the third umpire.

I think the collective horse would have bolted by that stage.

I’m told the Sketchley’s in the Harlequin had its record day the Monday after.

Wasn't such a legend when he scored the goal to relegate us in 96!

Although TBF we were doomed alll season but a late run under GT gave us hope .

Genuinely, I can’t get to sleep because this is bugging me that much. I feel like I’ve witnessed the death of something I loved today.

I’d forgotten just how dull witted Danny Murphy is.

Oddly comforting in this turbulent world.

Sean Dyche always seems to have a pop at Arsenal and their "diving" after each time they play Burnley.

    No love loss there !!

Probably got a point but then his teams have a few dark arts themselves.

This is a like a keep ball training session for Manure.

Wolfs have barely had any possession.

Could you imagine either of those teams playing our doddering OAPs at the moment? It'd be a slaughter.

What a player Neves is. Abdi-esque.

It would have been a travesty if that great goal by Neves had been disallowed for a toenail offside.
Also, the VAR system was mis-applied near the end by the linesman who flagged for an extremely close offside. This stopped the play and meant Man Utd were denied an opportunity to score a winning goal. In fact it was so close that the freeze frame suggested it wasn’t offside at all.

I was actually wondering if the goal might have been ruled out for Jimenez standing in an offside position right in front of where the goal went in from (thus slightly blocking de Gea's view.
