Wouldn't be all that surprised. I think he's worse than Kiko so unlikely to be first choice, and his injury record has been poor.

Not a bad player though, he's far from the worst signing we've ever made.

He's brilliant going forward but an awful defender, would be happy enough to see him go

What he costs defensively he makes up for going forward.

    Would be amazing for feyenoord.
Edit: decent % sell on please Gino.

I'm happy he played for us and would follow his progress - seems like a decent bloke.

Makes sense with kiko first choice rb and the new guy second choice.

I thought janmaat was an excellent signing at the time, but with his injury record there is not much point him being here. Sell him while he is worth something

He's scored some great goals for us in his time here, always put in a good shift and seems a decent bloke to boot. Just a shame about all the injuries. Good luck to him if he is off.

    He really doesn’t.

He’s a likeable player but his job is first and foremost to defend, and he’s not very good at it.

I like Janmatt, it's just a shame he is so injury prone. Therefore, for that reason I'm not too upset that he might be leaving us, and I wish him good luck for his future career.

He will always be welcome back at The Vic in my book.

Always thought that Janmaat has a quiet class about him. Tidy on the ball with a good work rate. Others will point out correctly that he's not the best defender but he's also not the worst fullback I've seen in a yellow shirt. I'd like him to stay but we do seem to have something of a surplus at RB.

Looks like Feyenoord are unable to match our valuation for Mr Janmaat just now.

    http://www.insidefutbol.com/2018/08/03/feyenoord-priced-out-of-swoop-for-watford-star/384938/

Feyenoord look unlikely to be able to afford to re-sign Daryl Janmaat from Watford currently, it has been claimed.

The Rotterdam giants are looking to bring in a right-back this summer and the name of Janmaat has been floated as a possibility.
The 29-year-old is on the books at Premier League side Watford and affording to be able to bring him back to the Netherlands is an issue.

According to Voetbal International's Martijn Krabbendam, speaking on RTV Rijnmond, Janmaat simply seems out of Feyenoord's financial league at present.
And so while the defender may be open to a return to his former stomping ground, it is less than clear a deal could happen this summer.

Janmaat left Feyenoord for English football in 2014 when he headed to join Newcastle United.
The full-back then made a 2016 switch to Watford, prolonging his stay in the English top flight.
Watford splashed out £7.5m to sign the Dutch defender.

I would be more than happy if we sold him back to Feyenoord, great going forward but massive liability at the back. Plus with his track record of injuries and being 29, no better time to sell him.

Don’t be stubborn Gino asking for £10mil (pure guess), just take the offer of £7.5mil and break even (another guess).

Seems a bit harsh to call Gino stubborn when we have no idea what they actually offered for him...for all we know it could have been two tulips and a picture of Goldmember.

Feyenoord have enough for wages and our required transfer fee. It's the compensation for Connolly which is the sticking point. Obviously they want to whack it into a transfer fee to save face

I still think it is worth keeping him around the squad. He is not a bad player by any accounts, just a bit injury prone. Not the best defensively, but can match it with any of our forward players.

A conversation between louorns & Roy Moore on twitter suggests Janmaat has left the club.

    https://twitter.com/Roymoore_Hornet/status/1313871182857412608?s=20

The player said earlier this year he would see out the remainder of his contract here before moving back to Holland, so there was no way he would agree to a transfer. Presumably we've paid up his contract to shift him out of the club if there is truth to what has been said.

Didn't he sign a deal whilst injured last season? Some classic joined up thinking from the club there.
