Good spot. Had his loan cancelled and now been loaned to Medellin back in his home country. Guessing he's not someone we're bothered about getting a 2 year residency Spanish passport for...
Great! So reports in Spain say that Peñaranda is always out on the lash and turning up late to training, and Success is too overweight to play. Oulare was also publicly reprimanded earlier in the season for being overweight. That's the best part of £25 million of our young players possibly throwing their careers away...
Brilliant thread this but a lot of the news is pretty depressing ! So little progress seems to be made by so many.
No wonder the Pozzos are looking to buy a Spanish club. I reckon it's to send on any disaster signings they are lumbered with.
The club couldn't arrange a successful loan spell to save their lives. Since the Pozzo's took over, I think Doucoure Is the only one that's worked out
Our club has a problem with discipline and lack of professionalism. Not sure whether that is the type of player we buy or whether it’s a rotten culture within the club. Can’t help having a captain who is on social media and in the press drinking hard who also runs up lengthy suspensions. Can’t help having an endless stream of managers with no long term authority.
Been following Jukubiak's loan on Falkirk TV which is on Youtube and he is doing well I believe they have Rangers in the quarter finals of the cup so will be interesting to see how he does against better opposition.
https://sdformentera.es/kingsley-fobi-estara-3-i-6-mesos-baixa/ Just found this on the Formentera Web page, it says Fobi is out for 3 to 6 months with broken ligaments in his knee.
Seriously though, when people talk about our transfer spending, how much is accounted for with these wasteful signings who are a distraction from getting what we actually need as a club? I am grateful for what the Pozzos have done for us, but that doesn't mean a lot of what they do isn't idiocy. The money spanked on a lot of these diaspora players could've brought us 3 new first teamers, or better quality in key areas of weakness. Sure one of these players could be a world beater one day, but they probably won't and whilst they fritter away time and resource on these side projects of fancy, their main business is in danger of losing 150m a year.
If true the Penaranda is a ******* idiot. How many young men would kill to have the talent he has? Right now he's ******* it all away. If anyone were to honestly ask him about the level of performances he's put in since January 2017, do you honestly think he would say "yep I'm happy with my efforts". ********. He's the best footballing talent that Venezuela has seen in a long time and he's in danger of throwing that all away. Pathetic really. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
Pathetic of him. Also pretty pathetic of the club to allow this to happen to 3 very expensive assets that were bought with intention of showing dramatic growth in value. What's the point in making these investments if they are paid massive salaries and don't need to work hard or perform on the pitch ?
Penaranda and Success were pretty much internal transfers between Pozzo clubs though weren't they? Even if the Watford FC ledger shows an outgoing, the overall effect on our owners is negligible.
We've wasted no money if they were never worth anything. But they were. We've wasted the opportunity cost of not selling them when they were in demand by wrongly (so far) believing we could increase their value by further developing them under our ownership. They've been poorly managed to get to the position they are in now.
Hate to be negative, but what exactly is Jakubiak going to learn in the Scottish championship? He's unlikely to ever make the grade with us, but we've certainly not aided his development with a string of pretty rubbish loan spells
A spell in the army for all new recruits? Reintroduction of conscription is being discussed in France. Pozzo should buy a club there.
Make haggis? What are you chatting about? A Haggis is an animal which the Highlanders trap in nets and all to the pubs and restaurants of Glasgow and Edinburgh
Amrabat played as Leganes lost 3-0 to Girona, his first start for a few weeks. No Success or Penaranda in the Malaga squad after their recent problems. Full 90 minutes for Oulare as Antwerp drew 0-0, and Dimitri Foulquier had a tough evening as he played the whole game directly up against Neymar as Strasbourg lost 5-2. Second match in a row that Dja Djedje didn't feature for Lens, after his arrest for domestic violence. Decent goal for Zarate as Velez Sarsfield drew 2-2 with Belgrano: Sulayman Marreh and Pervis Estupinan both played the full 90 minutes as Almeria won 3-0 at Sevilla B. Both picked out as their fans as top performers, particularly Sulayman who impressed as a defensive midfielder. Luis Suarez started as Real Valladolid B drew 1-1 with the lightweights of Rapido Bouzas, Jaime Alvarado came on in the last minute and Williams Velasquez was an unused sub. As mentioned above, another goal from Alex Jakubiak, fifth in four games now for Falkirk. Brandon Mason an unused sub again for Dundee United. No sign on Randell Williams for Wycombe as they try to haul in league leaders L*ton, five points behind them now with ex-hornet Luke O'Nien playing a key role. Charlie Rowan was an unused sub for the 8th game in a row for Accrington Stanley, still hasn't played a minute of football for them. Michael Folivi was brought on a last minute time wasting sub again for Boreham Wood. He has at least rattled a couple of goals in in the Herts Senior Cup but can't force his way into the league team, who are going well in 5th place in the National League. Connor Stevens wasn't in the Oxford City squad this weekend as they won 3-2 at Truro. Finally, Strahinja Karisic, who was loaned to Fluminense at the time we signed Richarlison, now appears to be on loan at FK Rad Beograd, the bottom club of his native Serbia's top division.
