Marvin has been given the number 22 shirt according to the article on the official site.

@Markoa$, congrats into "baiting me" in the transfer's thread. Well done mate you deserve a proper medal. And yes, you are absolutely wrong about me being a troll and a fake account. I am by all means portuguese, and my english is this good because of studying/living abroad and getting a more extensive english education than most portuguese people. I challenged people to find me Sporting's forum, and i can also prove my real location and nationality. Im also a Sporting Clube associate and i can send you proof of it if u think u need it.

@Cassetti's Beard Thank you for the kind words, i myself apologized before for coming off as rude in the beginning. i also hope you guys have a nice season. Unlike many Sporting fans, i keep rooting for Marco, just like i did last season in Hull.

I wish Marvin finds his place in the PL, his professionalism and behavior is something i cant criticize, despite my big negative opinion on him as a player.

    Ok so this just happened..

Whilst debating whether or not to buy PES 2018, I came across this video on Youtube and was deciding how accurate a job the PES gurus have done with the Watford players and their faces.

All of a sudden Zeegelaar appears in the video, and I'm like 'what? we never signed him. What's going on here?'

    I see I'm proven wrong https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/zeegelaar-i-want-grow

WTF? How can I have missed the fact that we signed him? Also, where's he been, and why hasn't he made an appearance for us yet? Is he injured?

I know that we tend to sign a lot of players, but **** me sideways. You have no idea how much my mind is blown right now.

LOL, are you serious? He was like the main last minute "backup buy" to Gibbs.

He hasn't played, simply because Holebas has been pretty good as of late. I'm sure we'll see more of him when (it's guaranteed) Holebas gets a booking and/or gets injured.

*He was bought after Holebas served his suspension from Bristol game so that's why he wasn't played when Jose was away

Dead serious. I remember us being linked with him prior to the window closing, but genuinely don't remember us ever signing him.

Is he now with Will Hughes then in 'Watford players that never were' team?

Is it April 1st? I honestly don't recall Meister's opening post.

Hahahhahaha that video is embarrassing. Prodl looks like a fat "soccer Mum", Holebas has a hairstyle he's never had, didn't realise PES was this far behind FIFA.

Was on the bench for one game (away) I think.

Holebas will be banned soon enough...

Be like that French chap we had under Zola who played one game at Blackburn I remember.

Marvellous Marvin Zeegelaar - the two tusked tampon elephant of the touchline.

Can run, tackle, defend, dribble, dink a cross and get the weight of a pass right. Doesn't blow his stack and get booked for retaliation or gobbing off like a certain other full back I could mention.

Excellent debut and every confidence in the lad next time his name is on the teamsheet, which I hope won't be too far away.

When he went down in 17 seconds I thought typical. Instead, good debut. Linked well with Richie

More than decent looking attacking wing back

Linked up really well with Richarlison

He was so impressive that when he took the ball down in one swoop around the 70th minute and continued running I assumed it was Ricky it was so skilful!

What happened there - he didn't have a bandaged head afterwards but was down for a while..

Anyway as pointed out a very good debut although we didn't seem very keen to pass to him 2nd half at times - preferring to move the ball out to Femenia.

Exceptional take that,at the end of his range. I half expected him to pull his hamstring.
I was strangely impressed with Marvin the Paranoid Android.

    Decent debut .

Although I’d reserve judgement until I’ve seen him defend in a back 4 , rather than the far easier task of defending as a WB with a wide CB to cover you .

If he carries on playing like that, think he will keep his first team place?

More balanced option than Holebas, and I thought he performed well. Nearly every chance Man U had came down Femenia's side or down the middle, but Zeegelaar's side had very few opportunities for them.

He's far, far better than Holebas, who was an obvious weak link in our team.

One less necessary replacement needed in January.

Rubbish!Holebas is on a par with him, and the competion between them should be heathly for the team IMO.

Hopefully. Don't know who would want him. Hope we have good links with Roda JC Kerkrade or Tondela. Maybe Birmingham City. Awful player.

Or just allowed to attack with no real threat to him defensively.

I think that was because he was at wing back and he didn't have to worry about defending as much. It's amazing how we've amassed so many players who can't do basic defending, they don't even have the excuse of inexperience. All of our defenders are over 25 yet a simple clearance into touch seems to be beyond them.
