He is rich enough that he can afford to just have a chauffeur anyway, he possibly won't be living in the country for much longer, he genuinely didn't realise that he was drinking alcohol but having found out he did, realised the mistake and being a good Muslim, admitted it in court or, just wants it swept up the carpet quickly as he is not meant to drink anyway. One of those anyway! Having a fair few Muslim friends, some strict, some less strict on their religion than others, it's quite easy to accidentally pick up someone's alcoholic drink (he was drinking out of a large jug) by but you tend to notice before swallowing, perhaps old Yaya is not being totally truthful in court?

I find it highly unlikely someone could take more than a sip of brandy and coke without realising it's not just coke.

Once you've had a few brandy and cokes, it's difficult to taste properly, in his defence.

Not the Russians. Until recently they classed as a soft drink (which by their standards, it probably is)

Homemade vodka is a big deal in Russia, makes your average beer seem like a can of Pepsi I reckon.

Yaya Toure just don't care anymore, it seems. He has become a troublemaker for his team in recent times (he can also blame his agent for that). His time in City is coming to an end and he will probably leave Premiership. I think that he will end up in China, we'll see.
