One of the most annoying things about Capoue, apart from his moaning and lack of influence and mental weakness, is the fact that he's actually a beast; 6'3'' and physically imposing, and yet he's just too unbothered to even use that size to try and win or retain the ball. He is a bit of a silly caricature of a Frenchman. You can constantly see him going into 50/50s in an uncommitted, weak way, and losing as a result. At the same time, that physique has never once physically stopped an opposing attacker gliding straight through the middle of the pitch and towards our goal.

Last season he downed tools around December, this season he has done exactly the same but several months earlier. Him being our top scorer is both largely irrelevant, and an indictment of our actual assorted strikers and other attacking players.

I've said it before on here, but we give Iggy loads of stick for effectively making us play with 10 men when he starts (with good reason) but at least when Iggy is there doing nothing, he's not doing it in the centre of the pitch, in the engine room/the most consistently important part of the pitch, constantly allowing the opposition to saunter through us then slowing the play down to a crawl before eventually passing it off to someone beside him when the ball comes back up our way.

A luxury player. Everything he does looks great when the team is on form and the football is flowing. Looks like he doesn't care when we're struggling and in need of some fight.

Really? He may be lazy at times, but not the laziest. We've had a few arseholes play for us as well. Anyway don't you support Leicester these days?

That is part of the issue ! He hasn't been wel instructed and he has had to do both roles. With Pereyra, he would go forward and leave VB to defend. Now he seems to have to go box to box and is left too deep, with Gueds taking on the forward role.

    Hi,

He doesn't deserve a song. The only reason he has scored for us was it was either in the blazing Sun or the temp was in the 60f area.

He's a lazy player and when the going get tough he hides. Bloody woeful and wouldn't shed a tear if he fecked off in this transfer window. With the situation we currently find ourselves in , players have to stand up and be counted . He probably feels that if we go down some PL club will come in for him so he's not arsed.

Sorry it's my personal opinion which others may not share.

Only Watford player I've ever hated, like truly hated, is Ighalo. And Deeney. And Capoue.

I think he's best either as a box-to-box CM or wide right. Everton played him all over the place which was probably part of the problem.

You've still got that "little watford" mentality. It's hard to shake I know, I still have it myself.

You have to understand though that we no longer need to have a team full of players who run around loads, try hard, but achieve **** all. We're better than that now.

    Welcome to the premier league

Capoue is not our biggest problem. Time and again he has the ball and is looking for runners around him and absolutely nothing is on. Our movement is simply appalling.

I never understood why people praised him so much in the past, I'd always thought that he looked slow and lazy, and that maybe I was wrong, but now many people seem to be of the same opinion as me about him!

    Lets get rid now!

Me too. And the match commentators on the stream I watched also.

I'm a bit bemused by this. He played some very decent stuff today had a couple of shots and didn't give it away as he's sometimes guilty of doing.

I'd have put him amongst our better performers this afternoon.

Definitely, second half especially. When he looks like he actually can be bothered he looks a proper player. Hopefully Doucs & Tom will provide competition for his place in the side & the boot up the ass he needs

He's not lazy ( he has covered more kms than other Watford player ) he s just not very good . Although today he was a lot better in the second half.

My patience is wearing thin with Mazzarri and I'm starting to move over to the sack him movement, but in his defence he has been seriously let down by his senior players, Deeney , Ighalo and capoue
