Bournemouths philosophy + poor buys comes unstuck against Villa, least amount of shots taken by a Premier League team over the weekend.

Did Muff have injuries? Looking at their line up few of their new signings made the starting line up? Only Josh King.

Don't think so. Saint Eddie of Howe simply decided to show faith with the wonder stars who romped to the Championship title with such ease.

Doubt Chelsea will be happy - send Atsu to Everton. Not used. Send him to Bournemouth and doesn't make the cut first time out either!

It's against FA / PL rules for a club to directly influence another team's selection, so I doubt the agreement says they have to play him when they can or play a minimum number of matches.

No you're right - but I doubt you'll see Chelsea loan Everton another development player in a hurry. Ditto Bournemouth if Atsu gets little game time there.

No nut what they do is have clauses in contracts that say the club has to pay 100% of wages if not in squad, 75% if on bench and not played and 50% if played. This then encourages the club loaning the player to play them.

Boro sign Nugent from Leicester for a mere 4 million of your British pounds. Bargain.

I wonder if Jose will be knocking on Roman Abramovich tomorrow morning asking for a few more millions to be spent?

and people still wonder why clubs look abroad eh?

Funny thing is probably the best British striker from last season in Charlie Austin (apart from Kane) hasn't moved on...

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the 2 seasons prior to Bristol City's relegation to L1 in 2013 the club were saddled with huge debts and were desperately trying to get their high earners off the books. They're only 2 years on and now they can splash £9m? Where the f*** has that sort of money from? Do the owners have short term memory loss?

Demarai Gray is worth twice what Andre Gray is worth, Demarai Gray is worth about 3m. Is that a joke transfer story?

We have to bring through academy players over the next ten years.

They have lost £21m in the last two years-bankrolled by Steve Lansdowne-who is in the Sunday Times Rich list worth £1.45bn. He owns the club. FFP anyone ?

They are very well supported at this oops ... Championship level and can probably keep abreast of FFP.

Unlike Muff who had their gamble failed were surely facing sanctions?

Just seen that Chelsea have agreed a fee with Barca for Pedro. Whilst United will be pissed off that they've lost out on a transfer target to a Premier League rival, why go after Pedro in the first place when signing another striker is a priority.

They have Rooney (off form), Hernandez (doubts over if he can play as a loan striker), Wilson (too young and inexperienced) and Januzaj (not an out and out striker). More investment is needed in this area of the team IMO than for players like Pedro.

Pedro could certainly do a job up front, he excelled there a couple of seasons ago for Barca. I thought he'd be a great option for Liverpool instead of Benteke. Cheaper as well!

Burnley signing Gray for £9m now...

How can they spend £9m now but spent very little last year in trying to stay up. Sounds like a panic purchase to me considering they have signed 3 other strikers already!

Tbf if I was having to rely on Sordell or Jutkiewicz for goals i'd be panic buying as well.
