Why do you think this season is not going according to plan Flibert? You could still survive relegation.

We could, the effort of the players has never been in question and there are a few teams that are as bad technically and mentally.

The problem is Pearson sadly. The man doesn't know how to win games at this level and his team selections are bordering on farcical. He's losing games before they kick off.

The door is still ajar. Consistency is key and improving away from home. Promotion is still very much up for grabs. An automatic spot rather than the random chaotic nature of the playoffs is much more desirable.

Bournemouth's attempt in signing Gray is looking a bit desperate now.

5 million for Gray is surprising. Surprised they rejected it too.

Not fully convinced on Gray's end product yet.

Norwich bid 4 million for Dorrans aswell

Ince apparently going to Derby on loan.

Bournemouth must be annoyed that they spent the whole time chasing Gray...

Tom Ince has signed on loan for Derby until the end of the season.

Derby must go up as Champions now.

Tom Ince & Jesse Lingard both quality youngsters at this level.

Question marks over Ince's attitude though, if McClaren can sort that out then I can't see anyone coming above them.

    Agreed.

They now have a very decent team at this level.

Forest have been handed a full transfer ban (now includes not being able to sign loans) after they failed to pay Peterborough £1.5m for Assombalonga. Fawaz Al-Hasawi has flown back to Kuwait and is unavailable. Could be the beginning of the end?

True - but they did before. Lingaard is a downgrade on Jordan Ibe imo. So it depends on whether Ince is still the same player after doing very little for 18 months.

Ince certainly hasn't seemed to be in his previous loan spells.

Shock as Bournemouth score a goal that is (no exaggeration) 5 yards offside. When will their luck run out?

    Fulham our Saviours?

Craven cottage is not usually the easiest place to get a result and all but us in the top six still have to play there. Of course we still have to beat them at home.

I also notice Boro have a heap of make or break fixtures for the whole of March and April so we could be in for some real fun as they drop down the table.

I can't see Ipswich staying in the hunt but Derby look the real deal and I can only see us losing at their place for the only double against us.

What a mad, mad season this is!

i was at Bmth V Derby last night... was a good game but Derby battered them... Bmth were lucky to get a point. Clatenberg was reffing and was quietly anonymous, ive always like him as a ref, shame we didnt have him instead of Probert when we played them.
I reckon Derby will be champs, but it really is all to play for for all the top 6/7/8 teams... if we continue to perform with consistency we coukd do it as top 2, if not, i'd love to get bmth in a playoff at wembley.
went bananas on the way back to the car when i got the text alert of our late winner... COYHs

I was hoping that but there's seemingly no recall clause. Maybe there's a slim chance that McClaren will be tempted if Villa come calling?

He'd be crazy to move to Villa and leave behind what he's building at Derby.

To be honest though will it?
I think he has more chance rescuing that Villa squad from relegation then gaining auto promotion with Derby.

He has only been at Derby for little over a year and lost the play offs with them when they were clear favourites.
If they fall into the playoffs again then he knows more than anyone it's a lottery.
I don't think McLaren has that affection for Derby and loyalty. Ultimately he is using that post to manage a Premier League team again, be it through Derby or someone else.

Derby are not tearing up this league like Leicester did last year.

So he keeps them up. What next? The owner doesn't want to be there and isn't spending. He'd face struggle after struggle. Yes Derby will also struggle in the Prem. Plus no affection or loyalty to Derby? Probably none for Villa either.

Villa are a bit of a circus with a apathetic chairman and a fed up crowd (who didn't want him in 2011 when he was set to be interviewed). IMO one he's best to avoid.

By the way, has McClaren actually 'built' at Derby or is just Clough's good groundwork?

Always felt like they sacked Nigel Clough too soon, I thought he'd done well with the likes of Hughes etc.

I do take on board he left them in 14th and in 4 years they never really challenged for promotion like they did under McClaren but I don't know? Just feels like Clough was only a few tweaks away and now McClaren is being hailed a genius etc.

Clough is a terrible manager and from what I hear from a lot of Derby fans, hideously racist.

Maybe they're tired that every time they want to speak to him on the phone they have to say "Is that the former city trader, Mark Warburton?"

Bloody confusing listening to it sometimes, they both have a Ward and Rotherham have a Derbyshire.
