Taking the kids to see Scrooge at The Palladium in the evening. Sitting through two hours of Tommy Steele will feel like the end of the world

Doing an airport pick up at 10pm. What time is the world due to end as I want to know if it's worth making the journey.

It's been postponed. One of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse has failed a drugs test and has been banned from riding for 6 months, subject to apeal.

Not sure my Dad will tip me for picking him up. I might get a beer out if it though.

If the world does end, will the BBC apologise like they did when they got it wrong about the 1987 storms?

Indeed. Michael Fish has been smuggled to the dark side of the Moon already without anyone knowing that he is secretly one of the Four Horsemen.

I wonder if anyone will commit suicide ? Sounds strange but sadly the rather easily led did commit suicide when the new millenium arrived fearing that the world would come to an end, echoing what happened in AD 999.

As everyone knows the world ending will probably be down to humans screwing the planet up either through overpopulation, environmental damage or nuclear war.

Mate said to me 'Imagine the amount of affairs, random murders etc people will do on the 21st.' Unfortunately, I think people will be stupid.

I'm spending it at a mates house with beer and a hot tub. What a way to go

Will it be staggered across time zones? Will the world end in the UK before it ends here in Texas 6 hours later?

Well if the horseman had any sense, they'd flatten L*t*n first then work their way round from there.

I actually stated my concern about this to a lady in Asda. What is up with Advent Calendars ending on 24th? When I was younger they went to 25th. Has the recession hit that badly that they have to cut back on a chocolate?

Imagine how many tears there will be on Christmas morning when kids realise that there's no chocolate!

I had this conversation with someone the other day. I was sure they used to go up to the 25th but they convinced me that calendars have always finished on the 24th. As I remember it used to be a nativity scene on the 25th.

Technically the 25th isn't part of advent so shouldn't be included on the calendar.

My advent calendars have always gone up to the 24th. Occasionally you had a big window for the 25th, but without a chocolate behind it, just a picture of the Baby Jesus in his manger and all the adoring shepherds and magi.

I've already stocked up on Chinese Lanterns which I intend to set off shortly after midnight. By half 12 they should be nicely over Watford to scare the shyte out of drunk people who'll mistake them for fireballs.

That's what you get when you buy your advent calendars at PoundLand. It has always been 24th, not 25th on advent calendars. No kid ever opened their last calendar window on Christmas Day.

The Nativity scene was 24th, it was the biggest window or you'd get a picture of some bloke being crucified on a cross. Very cheery.
