The start of the FA cup competition for us and against Bradford who are much lower in league standings then us. I would very much like to progress through the competition as bigger profile games means extra revenue for the club, but would also see this as an opportunity to give the reserves and youngsters a run out. However, a considerable amount of our youngsters are away on loan at the moment so who would you have in your starting line up on saturday.

    My starting lineup is:

    GK - Bond

    RB - Doyley
    CB - Mirfin
    CB - Hoban
    LB - Thompson

    RW - Whichelow
    CM - Eustace
    CM - Murray
    LW - Forsyth

    CF - Garner
    CF - Iwelumo

Subs - Bonham, Jenkins, James, Bryan, Walker, Sordell, Mariappa (not sure if we have to have 7 subs or not)

Would like to see Murray and Hoban being given a go. Both supposedly looked comfortable when playing for the first team before. Important to help their development.

Important to start deeney, because it's a good chance for him to get goals, which'll boost his confidence in league games.

Why would you possibly want Beattie to start ahead of someone like Garner?

Personally I think the teams you're all posting are far, far too weak and all they'll do is get us beaten and embarrassed, which is no good for anyone. We should go close to full strength with only 2/3 changes but a youthful bench.

I hope that Iwelumo plays and that he makes a hat-trick. People complain, calling him a tree and whine about him, but as long as he gets paid by the club.... then I hope he'll give us some value for the money!

Christ knows, isn't he still at Stevenage.
Or I may be getting confused with real life and FM but he may be injured..

Was still contracted to Stevenage until early Jan but was sent back at the end of November I think as wasn't getting in their squad. Is available now and is still around as was at the game on Sat in his suit. More than likely though, he will be off this transfer window.

True. But Deeney and garner are too similar. Beattie is more of a poacher, which'd work better with a hard worker ball winner type player such as Deeney.

Massey and Deeney would be perfect but he's on loan. Also I meant Bond instead of Loach.

Would a second string team be strong enough?

I'd like to see a mixture of first team and second team, go 2 or 3 up early and take off the regular first team players early.

Simms how on earth are they similar? One of 6ft 2 and a target man, the other is 5ft 8 and a ball player!

Garner is a supporting target man, play it to his feet lay it off etc etc. Deeney does the same role, apart from when played on the wing.

    Team will be:

    Second string and bit parters.

Bradford will win 2-1 and then have thousands of conversations oop nurth about how they should be in the Championship. We will go out in the third round as we usually do and not care. Bradford can join the likes of Bristol Rovers, Brighton, Southend and Notts County to have beaten us in the cup in the last few years.

Don't think the team will be as weak as people seem to think. Eustace will come in, and I reckon garner or emu will come in but other than that it'll remain similar. Dyche said he was going to take the cup seriously

Dyche has already said that he wants to field as strong a team as possible, so I think that this is more or less about right. I think the only two that will change are the front 2.

I would expect Deeny to start so see if he can get on the goal trail, probably with Garner. Sordell will be on the bench

    Garner Emu
