WFCForums Header Competition

Shortly we will be making a few design changes, the main one being a black background to the place, (to see this in action you can select the style called "Watford_Black" from the style chooser in the bottom left of every screen).

The problem is we require a new header to fit the black background. I've already asked Emma to come up with a couple, and the chaps have thrown a few into the ring but alas nothing that everyone is totally happy with yet. I'd like to throw the competition open to everyone to come up with something we could use and would look great on a black background.

I'll put the current ideas below, but here's a few things to bear in mind:

Simple is good, it's why the Google front page works.
Think what might look good on a black background.
Ideas from designs you put up might lead to another design direction.
Many entries from a single person are welcome.

I'm happy to put up some Amazon vouchers for a possible winning design or for using a portion of someone's design.

Finally, I saw a lot of these in cars in Cornwall over summer and at Christmas when I was there. Nak has already had a pop at making a yellow and red one with WFCForums accross the middle that might be used as part of the header, or as a web favorites icon, or something else we might have in mind. Play with that thought too.

the classical simplicity and clarity of Hornmeister's gets my vote.

(I run a graphic design agency btw but don't let that sway you :xmaswink

I like this one. I also like the 'classic simplicity' of the first meister effort but if the background is going to be black I think the green of the pitch will lift it a bit. (Also I can spend ages trying to find myself.)

or - Nak - can you replace the Cornwall circle and replace it with the Watford Logo at 45 degrees, half in half out of the banner with WFCForums underneath ? Keep the glow around the badge and text



I can take a Panaramic photo of the ground on Saturday if you like so you can use it as a back ground behind something like Emma's

I've just changed it.

I've made a bit taller which shows more, can it go taller? or does it have to be a specific height?

 

It can go taller and a tad wider if needed.
