Aidy said he wants a defender, any ideas who he's after?

Hope not Davenport, he looked pony against Cardiff today. Not rated at all by spurs fans I know.

I think we need to look at getting a young Malky type centre back as I think he will leave at the end of the season. We need a leader of the line as neither Jay or Dan can do this even though I think the are great players

someone with pace i hope after seeing jay and malky together. if big dan is out i don't think these two can work as a partnership in the prem. Davernport is now getting a game at spurs, more likely Anthony Gardener than him.

i have not got a clue who as no other defenders really stick out, perhaps a foreign or another lower league investment

    Colchester Lad

The CB from Colchester, I can't remember his name :-[

We will have plenty of competition for his signature though :(

I hear Stuart Phillips is in the frame, if he completes his second trial on Wednesday successfully.

Stuart Phillips' second trial begins tonight at 8pm until 9. I wonder if he'll impress Aidy this week?

He cracked his head open at work today on a metal bar - so i was told - so you may be right. But his skills should never be underestimated.

My sources tell me he's not half bad actually.

If he signs the rumour is he'll be squad number 5. As Carlisle hasn't played all season.

I will certainly be at the trial later, where I'm sure he'll express his talent much to the other players joy.

Darren Ward back? Apparently there are a few rumours linking him back to the premiership.

Stuart Phillips had a reasonably successful trial up in Manchester last night, and even got on the score sheet with a right footed effort. Boothroyd is said to be considering offering him a contract. However Phillips has a cricket trial tonight so it remains to be seen what sport he will decide to take up as a professional.
