great match, bit too tense at some points. but the sky pundits still hate us. Can somebody tell me how they can blame Citeh's constant hoofs on Watford?
What did they say? I saw Man City v Newcastle the other week in Sky and their home game v Middlesbrough. We were better than those 2 and the whole match was.
Whats not to like?? only the plums down at Portsmouth have no idea about what needs to be done.. everyone else seems to appreciate what we do and stand in awe at how we portray ourselves.
Cause no matter how well we play , they will always say we are not meant to be in the league . League Criteria (PUNDITS) is based on No of Big name players (no matter their age or current ability) , Capacity of ground ( even if the last time they managed a 20,000+ crowd was in the 70's) , amount of cash the chairman has to waste (I.e the teams with the biggest debt , LEEEEEDS , CHUMPSKI). If you dont fit those criteria you are not meant to be in the big time , and thus you will always get slated , no matter how well you play or deserve to win. Imagine what would be said if one of the big four had the same bad descisions go against them like it has to us this season. RANT OVER
Alan and Talksport don't I feel.... Ian Dowie would probably rather we stayed above Charlton I suspect!
Fantasic performance tonight. I nearly fell out of love last Tuesday it was so poor, this week we're back in the fight. I don't care if we get relegated if we play like that every week. We fought for every ball, every tackle, every half chance. Sure, we lack cutting edge but the 11 on the pitch couldn't be faulted tonight.
I am glad we played well tonight, I wouldn't have been able to get up tomorrow if it had been as bad as last Tuesday.
Lol. I refute the accusation of being French. Ribbit... There was a interesting French drunkard at the bar enquiring about the two teams playing on the tv at my request. "Who are they in blue?", he asked. He was told they were from Manchester and accepted it. "Who are they in yellow?" he asked. He was told they were from Watford. "Where?" he enquired. North of London, he was told. "Who again??", he said confused. I think you see the pattern emerging ;D
Are you there for long? Have you got time to 'educate' everybody? I did watch the game with a bottle of red wine at my side which is sort of french.
I'm here until next May, give or take the odd break. Education is difficult as the natives are somewhat ******** over here. Give them a 20 cent piece and they're happy as a kitten with a ball of string. Best to let them get on with it I feel
For the fan with an interest it was an edgy game. For an impartial football purist the passion was there but it were'nt pretty. I enjoyed it;D
