Didge just went up in my estimation in a long way when she corrected 'soccer' as 'football'. A wise move, i hope she doesn't die for a few more months now.
i was more impressed with doctors today. ronny does not deserve that! plus it was full of amazing quotes such as, 'do his wasted and useless legs turn you on?', 'did he touch your breasts with his hand or mouth?' and maybe best of all, this little exchange 'did he use his improved upper body strength to have sex with you?' 'no, it wasn't proper sex' 'of course, HE'S A CRIPPLE!!!!...and i don't quite understand the concept of not proper sex'
True that. It was a tension filled episode and an unlikely source of pole-dancing fun. Think my favourite line had to be 'your boobs, did he see them?, he must have noticed them!' Surely considering the other fellows a cripple means he would take advantage of any boobage he could get, probably needed all the stimulation he could find as well. Although the wasted legs line did bring a smile to my face. Now we've got some twin fun in Diagnosis Murder.
i added some of my favorite quotes from the episode. it was a true classic. if it keeps up this standard then neighbours won't so be so devestatingly missed
It's already slotted seamlessly into neighbours lunchtime slot and if its filled with comedy gold as today then i'd have no objections with it replacing neighbours evening slot when the big switchover happens.
unfortunately that slot is being filled by the ****est link. i would of voted for a new series of monk
I'm alarmed you Neighbours regulars have only recently discovered Doctors, when it was post Neighbours and now pre-neighbours it's always been an excellent pairing. I do hope they don't clash when neighbours goes to Five.
Thought I'd better post something on the Neighbours thread for old times sake even though I'm now an outcast, and it pains me to say it, although I'm not liking some of the new characters. Anyway less than two weeks until the show says goodbye to the BBC. Then I think I will surely close my Neighbours book. I shall post an obituary in due course.
It could well be the end of my neighbours viewing in 2 weeks when the switch happens, at least until the digital signal improves in this corner of Devon and i can get a freeview box. It'll be Doctors and Diagnosis Murder for me every lunchtime.
I agree with most of this, in that Neighbours is in a downwards spiral, but I must say that generally I liken it to cigarettes. It is an addicrion. You may cough your guts up when you wake in the morning, but you still light up on your way to work. I'll still be watching on five, though I'm not sure how i'll deal with the adverts.
If it's anything like how they show Neighbours in Australia there will be about 5 or 6 ad breaks in the program.
if susan gets off i'll be so annoyed. she was tired and fell asleep twice before falling asleep again and hitting didge. as DocRock pointed out, its crazy she got in the car in the first place. she needs to go down, prefereably to prisoner cell block h
Next week could well spell the end of my posting on this thread. This hill on which i reside seems unable to pick up channel 5. Unless things have changed since my last experiment with a freeview box, when in fact i didn't actually have enough signal for any channels, my neighbours viewing days will be over. I'll only be ducking in with the odd doctors comment.
It was vintage, why she had to wear those short type things i don't know ! Shocking news, 5 are planning to put Neighbours on at 13.45 meaning a clash with Doctors occurs. Thankfully i have one of those digital recording boxes so i can record one and watch it after the other but i just don't think it'll quite seem the same. Although on the plus side 5 are planning to show it twice a day with the 2nd showing being at the tradition 17.30. Also there's an hour long documentary before the first showing on the 11th about Neighbours on Five.
He played like her today as well, and in her current physical state. Rachel is going to get it on with an older male teacher soon I hear, lets hoping for an even more sexier side to her!
So today is the day that Neighbours finally says goodbye to the BBC. The end of an era is here. I shall head home early to take in todays afternoon episode of Neighbours even though I'm quite out of touch with the program these days. It has been a long road since those heady days of the late 80's. Harold has come, gone and come back again, Madge snuffed it, Libby got back with Darren and left (although she's back again I believe), Toadie grew up over time, Dee died?!? Did she? Sky had/has lesbian tendancies, Paul Robinson came, went and came back again, Russell Crowe made a cameo, Kyle and Jason got married, cricket was played in Ramsey Street numerous times, I went to school and Uni, they never had an omnibus, there was a 20th anniversary episode, Lance returned - briefly, there was a plane crash, car crash etc etc etc I could go on all day - oh and Cheryl died too. Anyway I'm sure Neighbours won't have the same appeal on Five as it has on the beeb. So I say goodbye, goodnight and thanks for getting me through University Ramsey Street. P.S I forgot to mention Bouncers dream sequence - legend! God rest your soul Bouncer!
My sky+ box has already been programmed to record the lunchtime edition meaning I can forward all the annoying adverts on 5. The bouncer dream storyline will possibly do down as the most funniest thing ever in a soap, the writer had obviously dropped a load of acid that day when thinking of that!
I too shall be making the switch. How the Beeb could put a price on entertainment and has replaced it with the Weakest Link baffles me. Here we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
I missed the final episode on bbc today because i was drinking and now i feel like i've let myself down. Until Devon decides that digital is the way forward, i doubt i'll be able to see neighbours anymore and to be honest its a major part of my day that has been taken away. I know when i settle down on monday afternoon for my daytime t.v. viewing it'll feel like a little bit of me is missing. And i really want to see Rachel in a bikini more often, she is so hot.
By all accounts the BBC are replacing Neighbours with a new Aussie soap which no doubt cost less and is of a lesser standard. Meanwhile providing you can get channel 5 (Devon, lol etc.) Neighbours is also repeated at about 5.20am and also at around 7ish on one of Five's digital channels.
Not even Riley's new haircut can ruin this moment. The 'Bours are appreciated by 5. The film is... different though, in a Home-and-Away-y way.
