Considering they were unbeaten since November 2006, I think Jay played a pretty significant part in it tonight, he was immense.

The English in me rejoices at an under dog triumphing.

The Spanish in me bleeds tonight, like a bull after la estocada.

But you get to experience so much shaudenfreude (sic) at all those around you, should they be overly depressed.

This is fantastic. Didn't see the match, but it takes me back to Barnes in the Maracana in 84 and Gerry Armstrong also against Spain in 82. Little Watford doing it on the big stage.

Im sure the Spanish arent that bothered to be honest, their players will be more delighted at the fact they can go away for or a week or two than the dissappointment of getting knocked out a competition that means F all.

They've got to play the 3rd/4th place play off yet. I can't see the coach releasing only some of the players from the squad.

How do you think Leigh Bromby or Danny Shittu would have done against Spain?
